<br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, met at the
<br />Courthouse in Vero Beach, Florida on this the 4th day of ,august, 1955, at 9:00 o'clock A. M.
<br />in special meeting with the following members present: Chairman W. C1. Graves, Jr.; Aubrey
<br />.
<br />L. Waddell; H. C. Watts; J. J. P. Hamilton and .Allison. Also present were E. E. Carter,
<br />Road & Bridge Superintendent, George Heath, 9ttorney and Douglas Baker, Clerk.
<br />Chairman Graves announced this meeting was called for the purpose of adopting
<br />millages as certified to the Board by the special taxing districts.
<br />Upon Motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton and
<br />carried, the following Resolution was unanimously carried:

<br />WHEREAS, all acts having been performed and all proceedings had as required
<br />by law preliminary to the levy of taxes in Indian River County, Florida, for the year 1955; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the respective Boards and taxing districts being authorized to fix
<br />and levy taxes upon property situated within Indian.River County, Florida, as provided by
<br />law, fixed such tax levies and have certified the same to the Board of County Commissioners
<br />and this Board having accepted the same and having found them to be proper; Now, therefore,
<br />BE IT.RESOLVED that:
<br />1. Estimates having been,made by the Board of Commissioners of INDIAN RIVER
<br />MOSQUITO CONTROL DISTRICT, and a certified copy of the Resolution filed with this Board, as
<br />required by law, and as estimated by the Board of Commissioners, it is determined and hereby
<br />declared that a tax rate of Six and five -tenths (6.5) mills upon the dollar be levied, and

<br />is hereby fixed and assessed for the year 1955, on all of the property taxable for such
<br />purpose as provided by law in the County of Indian River, lying and being within the boun-
<br />daries of said Indian River Mosquito Control District, the boundaries of said District being
<br />described as follows, to -wit: All of that territory in Indian River County, Florida, in-
<br />cluded within the boundaries described as follows, to -wit: Begin at a point where the South
<br />boundary line of Indian River County, Florida, intersects the Atlantic Ocean; thence run West;
<br />along the South boundary line of Indian River County, Florida, to the Southwest corner of
<br />Section 31, Township 33 South, Range 36 East; thence run North along the range line dividing
<br />Range 35 East and Range 36 East to the Northwest corner of Section 6, Township 33 South,
<br />Range 36 East, and which corner is on the boundary line dividing Township 32 South and
<br />Township 33 South; thence run East on the boundary line dividing Township 33 South and Town-
<br />ship 32 South to the Southwest corner of Section 36, Township 32 South, Range 38 East; thence!
<br />run North to the Northwest corner of Section 36, Township 31 South, Range 38 East; thence run'
<br />West to the Southwest corner of Section 26, Township 31 South. Range 38 East; thence run
<br />North to the Northwest corner of Section 23, Township 31 South, Range 38 East; thence run
<br />West to the Fleming Grant Line and the Southwest corner of Government Lot 3, Section 15,
<br />Township 31 South, Range 38 East; thence run Northeast along the Fleming Grant line to the
<br />East corner of Fleming Grant Section 26, thence run Northwest to the West corner of Fleming
<br />Grant Section 27; thence run Northeast to the North corner of Fleming Grant Section 27;
<br />thence run Northwest to the [Fest corner of Fleming Grant section 23; thence run Northeast
<br />along the boundary line of said Fleming Grant Section 23 to the North boundary line of Indian'
