- � - v3 <br /> t TREASURE COAST HOMELESS SERVICES COUNCIL, INC. / <br /> 2525 St. Lucie Avenue <br /> 772-5674790 Vero Beach , FL 32960 irhsclh@aol. com J lD <br /> Indian River County Board of County Commissioners <br /> County Administration Building <br /> 1840 25'' Street <br /> Vero Beach, FL 32960 June 24, 2003 <br /> Dear Commissioners : <br /> As we have in the past three years, The Treasure Coast Homeless Services Council Inc. is <br /> requesting that you vote to allow the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to <br /> sign, as applicant, for two projects which will be submitted to HUD for funding under the <br /> 2003 HUD SuperNofa grant request. <br /> We ask that you consider this item on the Agenda for the meeting of July 8, 2003 . <br /> The Treasure Coast Homeless Services Council, Inc . is not requesting financial assistance <br /> from Indian River County to meet the services or cash match of these two projects . <br /> The First Project is Indian River County Tenant Rental Assistance for 13 Chronically <br /> Homeless Adults, under the Shelter Plus Care Program. This is a five year award. <br /> The Second Project is Treasure Coast HMIS Project to expand the Homeless <br /> Management Information System in use in our Continuum of Care. This is a three year <br /> award. <br /> A synopsis of both projects follows : <br /> Project Priority Two <br /> Indian River County Tenant Rental Assistance Shelter + Care $4009140.00 <br /> No cash match requirement Match in Aggregate Services <br /> The Indian River County Board of Commissioners as the statutory applicant in this <br /> consolidated application is requesting up to $400, 140. 00 in Tenant Based Rental <br /> Assistance to provide for permanent affordable rental housing for at least thirteen <br /> chronically homeless mentally ill and/or substance abusing adults from Indian River <br /> County. The Indian River County Department of Human Services will administer the <br /> tenant based rental assistance and will oversee the delivery of services to the assisted <br /> tenants to assure that the required services match is met. New Horizons of the Treasure <br /> Coast, The Mental Health Association, The Homeless Assistance Center and The <br /> Homeless Resource Center will use the services they provide to these clients to meet the <br /> in-kind services match requirement.
