SECTION 01381 <br /> AUDIO-VISUAL DOCUMENTATION <br /> PART 1 -- GENERAL <br /> 1 . 01 DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> Prior to commencing the Work , the Contractor shall have a <br /> continuous color audio- video tape recording taken along the entire <br /> length of the Project to serve as a record of preconstruction <br /> conditions . The preconstruction Swale elevations shall be recorded <br /> at 100' intervals . <br /> 1 . 02 APPROVAL <br /> No construction shall begin prior to review and acceptance of the <br /> tapes covering the construction area by the Owner' s Engineer, The <br /> Engineer shall have the authority to reject all or any portion of <br /> videotape not conforming to specifications and order that it be <br /> redone at no additional charge . The Contractor shall reschedule <br /> unacceptable coverage within five (5 ) days after being notified . The <br /> Engineer shall designate those areas , if any , to be omitted from or <br /> added to the audio-video coverage . Tape recordings shall not be <br /> made more than thirty ( 30 ) days prior to beginning of construction in <br /> any area . All tapes and written records shall become property of <br /> Owner. The tapes shall be delivered to the Owner as soon as <br /> possible after recording . <br /> 1 . 03 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> The Contractor shall engage the services of a professional <br /> electrographer. A responsible commercial firm known to be skilled <br /> and regularly engaged in the business of preconstruction color <br /> audio-video tape documentation shall prepare the color audio-video <br /> tapes . <br /> PART 2 -- PRODUCTS <br /> 2 . 01 GENERAL <br /> The Contractor shall furnish all equipment , accessories , materials , <br /> and labor to perform this service . <br /> 2 . 02 QUALITY <br /> The total audio- video system shall reproduce bright , sharp , clear <br /> pictures with accurate colors and shall have minimal distortion , <br /> tearing , rolls , or other imperfections .
