7- INDIAN RIVER COUNTY MURPHY ACT -� - RESERVATION AND RELEASE MAPPING ADDENDUM NO . 3 OBJECTIVE OF THE ADDENDUM The objective of this Addendum is to extend the scope of services of the " Indian River County Public Works Department Professional Surveying Services Agreement for Murphy Act Reservation and Release Mapping" dated March 4 , 2003 (the Agreement) to scan approximately 250 Murphy Act release documents and link them to the geographic information system map prepared under the original agreement and updated under Addendums 1 and 2 to the original agreement. SOURCE OF RELEASE DOCUMENTS & SCANNING SURVEYOR will scan two-hundred and fifty-one (251 ) Murphy Act releases documents provided by Indian River County. The County will provide the documents in microfiche format. SURVEYOR will print the documents from the microfiche and scan the printed documents . The SURVEYOR and COUNTY expect most of the documents contained on the microfiche to be legible, however, the age and quality of the document images on the microfiche may render some documents illegible . SURVEYOR will make reasonable efforts to extract legible scans by applying digital image enhancements to the scanned images . In the event local records and the mentioned enhancement process proves unsuccessful , the consultant shall make a request for the missing or illegible release documents to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection , Division of State Lands. The SURVEYOR and COUNTY acknowledge that some documents may be in such poor condition that reasonable efforts to improve the quality of the documents may not render them legible . LINKING OF RELEASE DOCUMENTS TO THE MURPHY GIS SURVEYOR will link the scanned release documents to the Geographic Information System (GIS) map prepared under the original agreement and updated under Addendums 1 and 2 to the original agreement . The scanned documents will be stored in Adobe PDF format and linked as " hotlinks" within ArcGIS and ArcReader GIS software . Nick Miller, Inc. will update the Murphy GIS map files--geodatabase , ArcGIS " . mxd" file and ArcReader " . pmf' file—by inserting hyperlinks to the scanned documents in the geodatabase attributes of the Murphy Release map layer. PROJECT DELIVERABLES NMI will deliver the following electronic files upon completion of the project: 1 . ArcGIS polygon geodatabase & shape files with associated attribute tables . 2 . ArcGIS Map Document (" . mxd" file) 3 . ArcReader Published Map File (" . pmf' file) 4 . Scanned release documents in Adobe PDF format. DELIVERY SCHEDULE The project will consist of one submittal . Following the final submittal the County shall have 30 days to review the maps and make comments . NMI will then have 30 days to address the comments . 1 . Commence Work 2 . 100% Submittal - Four weeks after commencement
