7- <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY MURPHY ACT -� - <br /> RESERVATION AND RELEASE MAPPING <br /> ADDENDUM NO . 3 <br /> OBJECTIVE OF THE ADDENDUM <br /> The objective of this Addendum is to extend the scope of services of the " Indian River County <br /> Public Works Department Professional Surveying Services Agreement for Murphy Act <br /> Reservation and Release Mapping" dated March 4 , 2003 (the Agreement) to scan <br /> approximately 250 Murphy Act release documents and link them to the geographic information <br /> system map prepared under the original agreement and updated under Addendums 1 and 2 to <br /> the original agreement. <br /> SOURCE OF RELEASE DOCUMENTS & SCANNING <br /> SURVEYOR will scan two-hundred and fifty-one (251 ) Murphy Act releases documents <br /> provided by Indian River County. The County will provide the documents in microfiche format. <br /> SURVEYOR will print the documents from the microfiche and scan the printed documents . <br /> The SURVEYOR and COUNTY expect most of the documents contained on the microfiche to <br /> be legible, however, the age and quality of the document images on the microfiche may render <br /> some documents illegible . SURVEYOR will make reasonable efforts to extract legible scans by <br /> applying digital image enhancements to the scanned images . In the event local records and the <br /> mentioned enhancement process proves unsuccessful , the consultant shall make a request for <br /> the missing or illegible release documents to the Florida Department of Environmental <br /> Protection , Division of State Lands. The SURVEYOR and COUNTY acknowledge that some <br /> documents may be in such poor condition that reasonable efforts to improve the quality of the <br /> documents may not render them legible . <br /> LINKING OF RELEASE DOCUMENTS TO THE MURPHY GIS <br /> SURVEYOR will link the scanned release documents to the Geographic Information System <br /> (GIS) map prepared under the original agreement and updated under Addendums 1 and 2 to <br /> the original agreement . The scanned documents will be stored in Adobe PDF format and linked <br /> as " hotlinks" within ArcGIS and ArcReader GIS software . Nick Miller, Inc. will update the Murphy <br /> GIS map files--geodatabase , ArcGIS " . mxd" file and ArcReader " . pmf' file—by inserting <br /> hyperlinks to the scanned documents in the geodatabase attributes of the Murphy Release map <br /> layer. <br /> PROJECT DELIVERABLES <br /> NMI will deliver the following electronic files upon completion of the project: <br /> 1 . ArcGIS polygon geodatabase & shape files with associated attribute tables . <br /> 2 . ArcGIS Map Document (" . mxd" file) <br /> 3 . ArcReader Published Map File (" . pmf' file) <br /> 4 . Scanned release documents in Adobe PDF format. <br /> DELIVERY SCHEDULE <br /> The project will consist of one submittal . Following the final submittal the County shall have 30 <br /> days to review the maps and make comments . NMI will then have 30 days to address the <br /> comments . <br /> 1 . Commence Work <br /> 2 . 100% Submittal - Four weeks after commencement <br />
