General Contractor CGCO07847 July 7 , 2005 Battalion Chief Ed Prime Indian River County Fire Department 1500 Old Dixie Hwy Vero Beach , Florida 32960 Re : Indian River County Fire Station #6 Chief Prime, The following is the scope of work you requested to be performed at Indian River County Fire Station # 6 . Building Exterior Replace roof shingles on entire building, install continuous cleat drip edge Remove existing siding on high gable end over lower roof Repair any damaged, rotten wood and repair flashing behind this high gable end Replace siding on high gable end with Hardi Plank siding or equivalent Remove all existing exterior siding below the soffits, install stucco over existing block walls Remove existing siding on the large East and West gable ends, replace with Hardi Plank siding or similar. Includes any framing necessary to install new siding Repair any damaged, rotten wood and flashings behind existing siding Repair any damaged or rotten soffit and fascia boards and framing Replace soffit vent screen material with a vinyl soffit vent material (Vinyl Corp . or similar) Remove all four raised planters that are against the exterior walls, install new stucco in these areas . Pressure clean and paint exterior of building, including garage bays (all materials and equipment stored in bay will need to be removed during this process) . Install two wind loaded 12 ' x 12 ' motorized roll up garage doors Replace all light fixtures inside the garage bays Close up the large gable end vents on the East and West side of the building . Repair any damaged landscape/ irrigation caused by this project Install hurricane accordion shutters (new) at all windows Building Interior Remove all existing ceiling grid, tile and above ceiling insulation through out building Install new craft back R- 19 insulation at the bottom cord of existing trusses . Install an air barrier through out building consisting of one layer of 5 /8" Type X gypsum board to under side of existing trusses Install new standard grid and 2 ' x 4 ' flat lay-in ceiling the through out building .
