- 7- 06 <br /> F � j <br /> avo 4 - Z) 74 <br /> GRANT AGREEMENT AMENDMENT <br /> This Agreement is made this 31St day of January , 2006 by and between the <br /> United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ( HUD ) and Indian River <br /> County Board of Commission (the Recipient) . <br /> RECITALS <br /> 1 . HUD and Recipient entered into the Grant Agreement dated May 24 , 2005 for project <br /> number FL2913409002 located in Vero Beach , Florida (the Grant Agreement) . <br /> 2 . Under the terms of the Grant Agreement , Recipient received a grant from HUD in the <br /> amount of $ 36 , 177 , to be used to carry out the project described in the Grant <br /> Agreement over a 3 year period . The term of the original Grant Agreement will end <br /> August 30 , 2008 . <br /> 3 . Recipient desires to make a change in the project because the grant term should <br /> have been for one ( 1 ) year. <br /> 4 . HUD has reviewed the initial application and the proposed change and has <br /> determined that , with the change , the application ranking would have been high enough <br /> to have been competitively selected in the year the application was initially selected . <br /> 5 . The need for assistance for homeless persons continues within the jurisdiction within <br /> which the project is located and the need for the project continues . <br /> 6 . HUD has reviewed the project and the performance of the Recipient and has <br /> determined that the project is worthy of continuation . <br /> 7 . HUD and the Recipient have agreed to amend the Grant Agreement correct the <br /> grant term . <br /> AGREEMENTS <br /> 1 . The Grant Agreement is hereby changed for grant term for one year. The corrected <br /> term of the Grant Agreement is August 30 , 2006 . <br /> 2 . The effective date of this change is January 31St , 2006 . <br /> 3 . All other provisions of the Grant Agreement remain unamended . <br />
