EXHIBIT 1 <br /> ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> TO <br /> AMENDMENT NO. 1 <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT <br /> FELLSMERE CONVENIENCE CENTER EXPANSION <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Amendment No. 1 modifies the scope of work in Brown and Caldwell ' s Work Order No . 1 for <br /> planning, design, permitting, and construction of an expansion to the existing Fellsmere <br /> Convenience Center located at 12510 C .R. 512 to include site planning, surveying, geotechnical and <br /> environmental site investigations, permitting, engineering and landscaping design, bidding <br /> assistance and construction phase services . In addition to on-site improvements, the project also <br /> includes off-site improvements consisting of utility extensions and roadway improvements . <br /> Amendment No. 1 is being implemented at this time for engineering work related to planning, <br /> design, and permitting of the expansion to the existing Fellsmere Convenience Center located at <br /> 12510 C .R. 512. Included in this Amendment No . 1 are the services for site planning, engineering, <br /> landscaping, and permitting needed to obtain Indian River County Planning Department approval of <br /> the proposed project. The original Scope of Services did not anticipate the need for this approval <br /> process . <br /> The project location consists of two adjacent tracts, one in the City of Fellsmere and one in <br /> unincorporated Indian River County. The original project scope indicated engineering services for <br /> one site plan submittal process through the City of Fellsmere, anticipating the smaller <br /> unincorporated county parcel would be annexed into the larger parcel located within the city limits . <br /> At the Owner' s request, for county planning review and permitting purposes, the parcel was not <br /> annexed and required planning, design and permitting to be conducted through the additional <br /> County site planning process . The following Scope identifies the Tasks required to obtain the <br /> County site planning and permitting approval . <br /> ORIGINAL TASK 1 — PROJECT MANAGEMENT <br /> Additional work activities to be completed under Task 1 include the following : <br /> 1 . Project Design Review Meetings - Conduct project design review of the site plan and <br /> submittals required for County approval. <br /> 2.
