N <br />M <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that three certified copies of this Resolution be for- <br />n warded to the State Road Department. <br />,y <br />I�: - - - - - - - - - - - - w w w - - - - - - - - - www - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - w - <br />7�I� <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Robert W. <br />Graves and unanimously carried, the following Resolution was adopted: <br />Iy' RESOLUTION -- Condemnation - Nuzie, 20th Avenue Extension <br />from State Road 60 to within approximately <br />Nj 1/4 mile of the South Relief Canal. <br />WHEREAS, there exists a County road in Indian River County, Florida, known as <br />20th Avenue extending from State Road 60 South to within approximately one-fourth mile of the <br />South Relief Canal of the Indian River Farms Drainage District; and, <br />WHEREAS, this Board has determined that it is necessary for the general public <br />and in carrying out the general plan for County roads in this County to extend said 20th <br />Avenue Road Southward from its present South end to said Oslo Road; Now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, that the attorney for this Board be and he is hereby authorized and directed to pro- <br />ceed to take the necessary steps for the County to acquire by donation, purchase or condemna- <br />tion a right of way for the extension of said road above recited 70 feet in width and to <br />prepare, file and prosecute to conclusion a condemnation suit in the name of said County and <br />at the expense of the County, including an order of taking therefor; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of this Board is herewith authorized and <br />directed to pay for and on behalf of the County any and all deposits, costs and awards made <br />in the course of said condemnation proceedings in order that said right of way shall be <br />speedily acquired. <br />- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - M__- ------ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - M-_- -------- - - - - - - - - - - - MW - <br />Upon-- <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner Robert W. Graves, seconded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald and unanimously carried, the following Resolution was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION -- Re: Planning & Zoning Commissi=-Appointments <br />111 WHEREAS, under the authority of Chapter 21310, Laws of Florida, Acts of 1941, <br />the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, is authorized to establish <br />zoning in Indian River County, Florida; and, <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the powers conferred by said Act, this Board has heretofore <br />appointed a commission known as the Zoning Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, the terms of office of said members have expired; Now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, that this Board does herewith appoint Alvin K. Forney, E. W. Vickers, Dewey Reams, <br />J. S. Holmes and C. Alfred Briggs to be known as the Zoning Commission of Indian River County, <br />Florida, and does herewith vest said Zoning Commission with all the powers, duties and <br />authorities set forth and prescribed in said Act for the term of four years beginning February <br />5, 1957, and ending on February 5, 1961, and until their successors are appointed and qualified4 <br />0 <br />1 <br />1 <br />U <br />1 <br />0 <br />1 <br />1] <br />
