Limits of project along 43`d Avenue will extend from approximatelyl , 800 If south of SR <br /> 60 to 26th Street for a distance of approximately 4,476 if or 0 . 848 miles. Intersection <br /> improvements at 43`d Avenue and 26th Street are not included in this scope of work. <br /> Limits of the project along SR 60 will extend from approximatelyl , 900 if west of 43`d <br /> Avenue to approximatelyl , 800 feet cast of 43`d Avenue for a total distance of 3 ,7001f or <br /> 0. 701 miles. <br /> The design of the project will be coordinated with the County' s consultant for the 43`d <br /> Avenue project between 8th Street and 18th Street, and the consultant for the improvement <br /> of 26th Street. <br /> Paved shoulders will not be provided on SR 60. Additional widening will be provided on <br /> the north and south approaches to accommodate u-turning vehicles. Concrete median <br /> separators will be provided at all four approaches . <br /> Structural Engineering <br /> Structural plans will be prepared for the widening of the existing bridge carrying SR 60 <br /> over the Main Relief Canal, and for the existing bridge carrying 43`d Avenue over the <br /> Main Relief Canal. The bridge design will be based upon current AASHTO LRFD <br /> Standards and FDOT criteria, and will utilize similar components to the existing bridge. <br /> Construction phase services are not included in this proposal. <br /> Traffic Signals <br /> A traffic signal will be designed to accommodate the roadway improvements at the <br /> SR60/43`d Avenue intersection. A mast-arm signal configuration will be designed to meet <br /> current County and FDOT standards . Luminaries will be provided on each mast arm pole. <br /> Geotechnical Engineering services will be required for the design of the mast arm signal. <br /> Two 25 -foot deep soil borings will be obtained. The soils will be classified using the <br /> unified soil classification system. A report on the findings and recommendations for the <br /> mast arm design will be provided. <br /> Stormwater Drainage <br /> Drainage improvements will be as follows: <br /> For the section of 43rd Avenue from south of SR 60 to the Main Relief Canal and for SR <br /> 60, it is anticipated that water quality treatment and stormwater attenuation will be <br /> provided at an offsite location as compensatory treatment. Design fees for preparing the <br /> plans detailing offsite compensatory treatment will be negotiated, as an additional service <br /> after a treatment site is located. <br /> For the section of 43`d Avenue from the Main Relief Canal to 26th Street, water quality <br /> treatment and attenuation will be provided in an offsite pond located on the former <br /> Dodgertown golf course site. ARCADIS will prepare plans detailing this proposed <br /> detention pond. <br /> ARCADIS will design a pipe and inlet drainage system for the project.
