0
Lots 8 and 9, Block 30, Original Town of Vero, Indian River County, Florida, for the total
sum of $15,000.00, or the County offered to buy from Mr. and Mrs. Hewitt, Lots 24, 25, 26,
and 27, Block 35, Original Town for $15,000.0.0. With respect to the property in Block 35,
if the county purchased the property it would agree that Mr. and Mrs. Hewitt would retain
title to the buildings and would have a period of one year from closing of the sale to remove
the buildings from the property.
Upon Motion made by Commissioner Robert W. Graves, seconded by Commissioner
G Macdonald and unamiously carried, the Board authorized the following letter,of agreemenp
d relating to obtaining right of way deed on State Road #5 or U. S. #1 for the
Sebastian-Wabasso area.
February 21, 1957
Mr. and Mrs. I. R. James
Sebastian, Florida
Dear Mr. and Mrs. James:
In re: SRD No. 91.
In consideration of your conveyance of the right of way described
in the above deed, Indian River County, acting by and through its
Board of County Commissioners, agrees with you as follows:
1. The County will install a 30 foot culvert at your driveway prior
to the time of completion of the new construction.
This agreement is approved by the Board of County Commissioners at
its meeting as shown by its minutes.
Sincerely yours,
Board of County Commissioners
of Indian River County, Florida
By
Chairman
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - M " -
•
Commissioner Robert W. Graves said that Clerk Baker -wanted' the action
of the board made at a previous meeting, rescinded, as to making copies of the minutes and
V
mailing to each Commissioner, but that he would still like to have copies made and mailed.
It was brought out that sometimes the minutes were so long because of all the resolutions.
Attorney Smith stated that he would check with the Auditor to see if the resolutions could
be numbered and entered by number in the minutes instead of writing the resolutions in full.
Upon Motion made by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., seconded by Robert W. Graves and carried,
the Board decided to adopt this method of entering Resolutions in the minutes providing it
is OK'ed by the Auditor, and that Clerk Baker could either have the minutes typed and mailed
to each Commissioner or photostat the minutes and mail to each Commissioner, whichever was
easier for him.
There being no further business, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the
Board then adjourned.
' ATTEST:
I -
Chairman
C erk
VIII ,
