r <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br /> 66th Avenue/ County Road 510 Roadway Widening <br /> AMENDMENT NO . 1 TO THE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING/LAND SURVEYING <br /> SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN KIMLEY-HORN AND ASSOCIATES , INC. AND <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA. <br /> This is an amendment to the existing Engineering/Land Surveying Services Agreement <br /> (AGREEMENT) dated February 22d, 2005 between Kimley-Horn and Associates , Inc . <br /> (ENGINEER) and Indian River County (COUNTY) . This amendment addresses changes in <br /> " Section I - Project Limits and Description" , " Section III - Scope of Services " , " Section V - <br /> Compensation" and " Section XVI — Duration of Agreement" of the AGREEMENT . <br /> Amendment Description <br /> This Amendment includes the following : <br /> " SECTION I — PROJECT LIMITS AND DESCRIPTION" is being modified to incorporate the <br /> following : <br /> Consultant services are required for the preparation of design surveys , right-of-way maps, <br /> parcel sketches and legal descriptions , subsurface geotechnical investigations , roadway <br /> improvement plans associated roadway improvements along 66th Avenue and County <br /> Road 510 . The COUNTY desires to construct 66th Avenue as a four-lane divided <br /> roadway section between 77th Street (Hobart Road) and Barber Street, and CR 510 to a <br /> four- lane divided section approximately 2 , 000 feet east and west of 66th Avenue . <br /> Signalization and/or intersection modifications will be necessary at the Barber Street, 81St <br /> Street and 77th Street intersections to accommodate the proposed four-lane divided <br /> section. It is understood that COUNTY desires the additional lanage to operate as drop <br /> lanes as to not require a roadway transition north and south of the Barber Street and 77th <br /> Street intersections, respectively. The County also desires that northbound, southbound <br /> and westbound left turn lanes be added to the 81St Street intersections improvements . <br /> It is understood that the Indian River County School Board wishes to expand the <br /> intersection at 81 st Street for Liberty Magnet School which is scheduled for opening <br /> August 2006 . Since additional right-of-way is required for the proposed Liberty Magnet <br /> School, the COUNTY intends to acquire the full right-of-way required for the four- lane <br /> divided section and extend the design of the four-lane divided section to 77th Street . <br />
