THE REQUESTED AMENDMENT ( AMENDMENT NO. 2) MODIFIES THE SCOPE OF WORK <br /> AS FOLLOWS . <br /> The Project : <br /> New Indian River County Emergency Management and Emergency Operations Center Facility containing <br /> approximately 16 ,000 square feet to be generally located on approximately 12 acres approximately one <br /> quarter mile north of 41st Street . west of 43rd Avenue . in Vero Beach . Florida This Project shall also <br /> include but not be limited to other such improvements as site design parking and stormwater facilities <br /> The Owner and Architect agree as follows : <br /> To design Emergency Services administrative offices and Emergency Operations Center to be located in one <br /> facility to meet the needs and responsibilities of the Director of Emergency Services In doing so the EOC <br /> and essential ancillary structures and equipment shall be designed to resist the effects of a major hurricane It <br /> shall be designed for a minimum of 72 hours of continuous operation and shall not be solely reliant upon off- <br /> site utilities (e . g . , water, natural gas fuel , electricity, telecommunication and information technologies etc.) <br /> The form of design should result in a strong and durable operational type structure The design shall meet <br /> recommended minimum operational standards as prescribed by the Florida Department of Emer ency <br /> Management . <br /> The Owner ' s Program is , <br /> Adequate area to support the identified users based on programming previously completed as part of the PRIMARY <br /> CONTRACT for the New County Administration Complex. and in accordance with standards prescribed by the Florida <br /> Department of Emergency Management for facilities of this type <br /> The financial parameters are as follows : <br /> . 1 Amount of the Owner's overall budget for the entire Project, including the <br /> Architect's compensation, is : $ 5,926,200.00 <br /> .2 Amount of the Owner's budget for the Cost of the Work, excluding the <br /> Architect's compensation, is : $5,284,450.00 <br /> . 3 The estimated Construction Budget for the building alone is $ 4,800,000 .00 <br /> 1 . 1 .2 .6 The time parameters are : <br /> Proposed Design Schedule is based on the following duration of activities : <br /> 1 . Programming and Program Validation 1 . 0 month <br /> 2 . County Review <br /> 3 . Schematic Design Documents 1 . 5 months * * <br /> 4 . County Review <br /> 5 , Design Development Documents 1 . 5 months <br /> 6 . County Review <br /> 7 . 100 % . Completion of Construction Documents 3 . 0 months <br /> 8 .
