seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, the Board recommended that the <br />3 <br />County Superintendent of Roads should confer with Mr. Lloyd making recommendations for certain <br />changes in the plat and said plat be brought before the Board at a later date for tentative e <br />approval. <br />Mr. Lloyd further stated that he was representing the St. Francis Corporation, that <br />they were going to run a water main connecting with the City of Vero Beach to their property. <br />He asked that the County clear the right of way for the laying of this water main in certain <br />areas and he had estimated this cost to the county to be aroung $300.00. Upon Motion made <br />by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., seconded by Commissioner Robert Graves and unanimously <br />carried, the Board recommended the St. Francis Corp. have the work done and the County would <br />reimburse them in an mount not to exceed $300.00 <br />Mr. Williams and Mr. Ma rshall, both living in Tropicolony Subdivision appeared <br />before the Board and stated that where Atlantic Boulevard connects with Road 60 coming out of <br />Tropicolony was a very dangerous intersection. They requested that the Boardcontact the <br />State Road Department and ask that something be done about this situation. Upon Motion made <br />by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously <br />carried, the Board requested Sherman N. Smith, Jr. request the State Road Department to make <br />a traffic survey in the vicinity where the Bridge crosses the main canal on State Road 60 <br />with a view to establishing a special speed zone in that area and providing the proper pre- <br />caution for Atlantic Boulevard as it intersects State Road 60. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Vern Whittier appeared before the Board and stated they did not have <br />proper right of way into their property located near Blue Cypress Lake. Upon Motion made by <br />Commissioner Robert Graves, seconded by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr. and unanimously carried,. <br />the Board requested the Superintendent of Public Roads to go with Mr. and Mrs. Whittier, see <br />what the situation is and see what could be worked out for them. <br />Hoyt Howard appeared before the Board stating that he would like to set up a Protec- <br />tive Agency or service and to do this he needed a license to carry a pistol, which license <br />would have to be granted by the Commissioners. Upon Motion made by Commissioner Robert Graves, <br />e <br />seconded by Commissioner W. C.
