<br />Pursuant to the foregoing Notice and upon Motion made by Commissioner W. C.
<br />Graves, Jr., seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, the following reso-
<br />lution was adopted:
<br />RESOLUTION --- Vacation of Plat of Orchid Oaks
<br />Be it Resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida,
<br />that said Board does herewith find and determine as follows:
<br />1. That Richard Wheelwright and Selma Wheelwright, his wife, filed a petition
<br />before said Board on the 7th day of May, 1957, at a meeting of said Board requesting said
<br />Board to adopt a resolution vacating, annulling and making void and for naught the recorded
<br />plat of subdivision known as BQOrchid Oaks1° Unit No. 1, recorded in Plat Book 4, page 16,
<br />public records of Indian River County, Florida, and all expressed and implied dedications
<br />thereon and resulting therefrom and to renounce and disclaim any right of Indian River County,
<br />Florida, and the public in and to all land delineated as a road, lane, drive or street on
<br />said plat.
<br />2. That said Board published notice thereof one time in Vero Beach Press Journal,
<br />a newspaper of general circulation in Indian River County, Florida, said notice being pub-
<br />lished at least two weeks prior to the date stated therein for public hearing.
<br />3. That the streets, lanes, roads and drives delineated on said plat are private
<br />roads; that all taxes levied and assessed against the above described property have been paid;
<br />that no street, lane, road or drive delineated on said plat is a state, county or federal
<br />road.
<br />4. That a public hearing on said petition has been held by Board of County Comm -
<br />issioners of Indian River County, Florida, in the office of said Board in the Indian River
<br />County Courthouse in Vero Beach, Florida, at 10:00 o'clock A.M., June 4, 1957, being the
<br />time and place stated in said notice.

<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County,
<br />Florida, that said Board does herewith vacate, annul, and make void and for naught the plat
<br />of "Orchid Oaks10 Unit No. 1 filed in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Indian
<br />River County, Florida, and recorded in Plat Book 4, page 16, and all expressed and implied
<br />I' dedications thereon and resulting therefrom and renounces and disclaims any right of Indian
<br />River County, Florida, and the public in and to all land delineated as a road, lane or drive
<br />b' or street on said plat, provided, however, that this resolution shall not vacate, annul or
<br />make void and for naught any street or other place used for travel, or any portion thereof,
<br />shall not renounce or disclaim any right of Indian River County, Florida, and the public in
<br />,
<br />and to any land acquired by said county for the public by any means other than the plat here-
<br />tofore mentioned herein.

<br />Mrs. Anne Christensen, County Welfare Case Worker appeared before the Board and

<br />gave a report of her activities for the Month of May. Said report was ordered filed by the
<br />Clerk.
