having been revised and perfected; and, <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of said.tentative budget and the completion of all revisions, <br />this Board did prepare a statement summarizing all of the tentative budgets showing for each <br />budget and the total of all budgets the proposed tax millages, the balances, the reserves and <br />the total of each major classification of receipts and expenditures, classified according to <br />the classification of accounts prescribed by the Comptroller of the State of Florida; and, <br />WHEREAS, this. Board did cause said summary statement to be advertised one time <br />in a newspaper of general circulation published in Indian River County, florida, to -wit: <br />In the issue of July 22, 1957, of the Vero Beach Press Journal, as will more fully appear <br />by proof of publication thereof filed in the minutes of this Board; and, <br />WHEREAS, this Board did meet at the time and place stated in said advertisement for <br />the purpose of hearing requests and complaints from the public regarding the budgets and for <br />the purpose of holding a public hearing and making whatever revisions in the budget it may <br />deem necessary; Now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, F <br />does herewith tentatively adopt the annual budget for the funds of said Board for the fiscal <br />year ending September 30, 1958, in the form as heretofore prepared and duly advertised; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said tentative budget shall be filed in the office of <br />the County Auditor as a public record and the County Officer shall transmit two copies of <br />the tentative budget as adopted to the Comptroller of the State of Florida and said budget <br />as tentatively adopted shall be considered as finally adopted and as official upon approval <br />as to form by the Comptroller. <br />- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - <br />Upon being duly seconded by Commissioner Macdonald, the foregoing resolution was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., introduced the following Resolution and upon being <br />duly seconded by Commissioner Robert Graves, was unanimously adopted. <br />R E S O L U T I O N -- County Commissioners Tax Levy <br />---------- - <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, <br />that the rate of taxation necessary to meet the expenditures of the Board of County Comm- <br />issioners of Indian River County, Florida, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1958, <br />pursuant to the budget of said Board as heretofore published and approved, is as hereinafter <br />levied and that the tax rate as hereinafter shown and set forth be and it is hereby levied <br />on all taxable property in Indian River County, Florida, for the year 1957 with the rate <br />hereinafter set out, to -wit: <br />1. In order to meet the estimated expenses of the General Fund, it is determined <br />and hereby declared that a tax rate of Seven and Seven -tenths (7.7) mills upon the dollar <br />be levied and hereby imposed. <br />2. In order to meet the estimated expenses of the Road and Bridge Fund, it is <br />determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Two and Three -tenths (2.3) mills upon the <br />., <br />
