• Hired Autos <br /> • Non-Owned Autos <br /> 5 .3 . 1 .4 CONTRACTOR' s Property Insurance : CONTRACTOR shall purchase and <br /> maintain property insurance upon the Work at the site to the full insurable value <br /> thereof (subject to such deductible amounts as may be provided in the <br /> Supplementary Conditions or required by law). This insurance shall include the <br /> interests of OWNER, CONTRACTOR and Subcontractors in the Work, shall <br /> insure against the perils of fire, lightning and extended coverage, shall include <br /> "all risk" insurance for physical loss and damage including theft, vandalism and <br /> malicious mischief, collapse and water damage, and such other perils as may be <br /> provided in the Supplementary Conditions, and shall include damages, losses <br /> and expenses arising out of our resulting from any insured loss or incurred in the <br /> repair or replacement of any insured property (including fees and charges of <br /> engineers, architects, attorneys and other professionals) . If not covered under <br /> the "all risk" insurance or otherwise provided in the Supplementary Conditions, <br /> CONTRACTOR shall purchase and maintain similar property insurance on <br /> portions of the Work stored on and off the site or in transit when such portions <br /> of the Work are to be included in an Application for Payment. The policies of <br /> insurance required to be purchased and maintained by CONTRACTOR in <br /> accordance with this Contract shall contain a provision that the coverage <br /> afforded will not be canceled, materially changed or reduced until at least thirty <br /> (30) days ' prior written notice has been given to OWNER'S Risk Manager. <br /> 5 .3 . 1 .5 . CONTRACTOR's "All Risk" Insurance : CONTRACTOR shall secure Builders ' <br /> Risk "All Risk" insurance at his/her expense and provide properly completed <br /> and executed "Certificates of Insurance and insurance Endorsement" forms in <br /> the exact format and wording presented in these Contract Documents before <br /> starting work. <br /> 5 . 3 . 2 Special Requirements :Ten ( 10) days prior to the commencement of any work under this contract, <br /> certificates of insurance and endorsement forms in the exact wording and format as presented in <br /> these Contract Documents will be provided to the OWNER' s Risk Manager for review and <br /> approval. The certificates shall provide for the following: "Board of County Commissioners, <br /> Indian River County Florida" will be named as "Additional Insured" on both the General Liability, <br /> Auto Liability and Builder' s Risk "All Risk" Insurance. The insurer must be authorized to do <br /> business and have an agent for service of process in Florida and have an "AA" policyholder' s <br /> rating and financial rating of a least Class XI in accordance with the most current Best' s Rating. <br /> ARTICLE 6 - CONTRACTOR' S RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> Independent Contractor: <br /> 6 . 0 CONTRACTOR represents that it is fully experienced and property qualified to perform the Work under <br /> the Contract Documents and that it is properly licensed, equipped, organized and financed to perform such <br /> Work. CONTRACTOR shall act as an independent contractor and not as the agent of OWNER in <br /> performing the Work under the Contract Documents, maintaining complete control over its employees and <br /> all of its suppliers and subcontractors . <br /> Supervision and Superintendence: <br /> 6 . 1 CONTRACTOR shall supervise and direct the Work competently and efficiently, devoting such attention <br /> thereto and applying such skills and expertise as may be necessary to perform the Work in accordance with <br /> the Contract Documents . CONTRACTOR shall be solely responsible for the means, methods , techniques, <br /> sequences and procedures of construction, but CONTRACTOR shall not be responsible for the negligence <br /> of others in the design or selection of specific means , methods , techniques, sequences or procedures of <br /> GENERAL CONDITIONS GC9 <br />
