Upon Motion made by Commissioner Robert W. Graves, seconded by Commissioner Mac - <br />4 <br />d <br />donald and unanimously carried, the following Resolution was adopted: <br />n <br />RESOLUTION7 <br />-- Blue Cypress Lake <br />WHEREAS, it has recently come to the attention of the Board of County Commissioners <br />of Indian River County, Florida, that Central and Southern Florida Flood Control District <br />has purchased and is now the owner of property in Indian River County, Florida, described <br />as follows, to -wit: <br />Lot H, Township 31, and Lot K, Township 32, all in <br />a Range 36, according to the Plat of lands of the <br />Fellsmere Farms Company; <br />which said lands in fact constitute Blue Cypress Lake, sometimes called Lake Wilmington; and, <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County owns a park site for the benefit of the general public <br />. bordering upon said lake; Now, therefore, <br />'i <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, <br />s <br />that this County does herewith respectfully petition and request Central and Southern Florida <br />n <br />Flood Control District to declare said property and said lake as a public body of water to <br />be regulated and controlled by Central and Southern Florida Flood Control District; and, <br />BE IT :FURTHER RESOLVED that this Board recommends to said Central and Southern <br />d <br />Florida Flood Control District that among its regulations there be included prohibiting the <br />0 <br />1 <br />40 <br />construction of houses, camps or other similar structures in said waters and that no person <br />be permitted to make any exclusive use of the said lands or said lake to the exclusion of the <br />general public. <br />Notary Public Bonds in the sum of $500.00 each were approved for the following, by <br />Douglas Baker, Clerk as required by law. <br />Carl F. Obenaus, with American Fire & Casualty Company as surety. <br />Katharine Ingerson w/ American Surety Company of New York as surety. <br />Ailieen Frye w/ Massachusetts Bonding & Insurance Co. as surety. <br />j Harry J. Sweitzer w/ Massachusetts Bonding & Insurance Co. as surety. <br />Marguerite M. Schlitt w/ Aetna Insurance Company as surety. <br />Ruth Osmer with Home Indemnity Company as surety. <br />I, <br />Dorothy O'Brien w/ American can SuretY Co. of N Y as surety. <br />Patricia Hill w/ American Surety Co. of N. Y. as surety. <br />Gertrude M..Kraft w/ American Fire & Casualty Co. as surety. <br />Charles A. Sullivan w/ American Fire & Casualty Co. of N. Y. as surety. <br />The following were appointed deputy sheriff's by Sam T. Joyce, Sheriff and same <br />r <br />'!!were ordered filed with the Clerk. <br />j Name <br />Oscar E. Griffith 3-A Vero Beach, Florida <br />Bonds for the above were approved with St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company. <br />w' The County Attorney advised the Board that right of way had not been received <br />from Mr. Mirswald for the South Winter Beach road. After some discussion in the matter the <br />(Board agreed to move the palm trees, the lemon tree, fix the well and offer him $200.00 for <br />j the right of way. <br />
