Reserve for Contingencies (Sheriff) 22100.00 <br />TOTAL $22250.00 $22250.00 <br />- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - <br />Mrs. Anne Christensen, County Welfare Case Worker appeared before the Board and <br />gave a report of her activities for the Month of February and said report was ordered filed <br />by the Clerk. <br />n <br />I <br />1 <br />Mrs. Christensen stated they were having a Convention for the Welfare Workers in • <br />St. Augustine on March 10, 11 and 12, and requested permission to attend. Said permission <br />was granted. <br />Mrs. Christensen stated Ralph Brinkerhoff needed nursing care and upon Motion made <br />by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Robert Graves and unanimously carried, <br />the Board authorized said care in the amount of $34.00 per month. <br />A committee was appointed consisting of Commissioners Robert Graves, D. B. McCullem <br />Jr; Engineer Schmucker and Mrs. Christensen to see what can be done about hurrying the <br />building of an Old Folk's Home. <br />The Chairman read a letter from the Vero Beach Country Club stating that they were <br />unable at this time to appropriate $4,000.00 toward the building of a proposed bridge across <br />the canal at 10th Avenue.
