<br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
<br />CONSTRUCTION OF Vero Lake Estates Master Planned 12" Water Transmission Main
<br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BID No. 2008015
<br />UTILITIES PROJECT NO. UCP No. 2958
<br />The Indian River County (IRC) Board of County Commissioners is accepting sealed bids for the
<br />construction of the Vero Lake Estates Master Planned 12" Water Transmission Main. Bids will be
<br />received by Indian River County marked "Sealed Bid" until 2:00 PM, Friday, November 9, 2007. Each
<br />bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and shall bear the name and address of the bidder on the
<br />outside and the words Vero Lake Estates Master Planned 12" Water Transmission Main, Bid No:
<br />2008015, UCP No: 2958. Only bids received on or before the time and date listed will be considered.
<br />Bids should be addressed to Purchasing Division, 1800 27`" Street, Vero Beach, Florida 32960. All bids
<br />will be opened publicly and read aloud at 2:00 PM. Deadline for receipt of bids has been set for 2:00
<br />PM, Friday, November 9, 2007. All bids received after 2:00 PM. will be returned unopened.
<br />All material and equipment furnished and all work performed shall be in strict accordance with the plans,
<br />specifications, and contract documents pertaining thereto, which may be obtained from the Engineer,
<br />Schulke, Bittle & Stoddard, LLC, 1717 Indian River Blvd., Suite 201, Vero Beach, Florida 32960
<br />(772-770-96221. Copies of the plans and the specifications containing the necessary contract
<br />documents may be obtained by deposit of a check made payable to Schulke, Bittle & Stoddard, LLC in
<br />the amount of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each set, which represents the cost of printing,
<br />handling and mailing and is non-refundable. Communication concerning this bid shall be directed to IRC
<br />Purchasing Department at 772-567-8000, Ext. 1416.
<br />All bids shall be submitted in Triplicate on the Bid Proposal forms provided within the specifications. A
<br />BID SECURITY must accompany each bid, and may be in the form of a BID BOND, properly executed
<br />by the Bidder and by a qualified surety, certified check or cashier's check on any bank authorized to do
<br />business in the State of Florida, and in each case, be in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total
<br />amount of bid, made payable to Indian River County Board of County Commissioners. In the event the
<br />Contract is awarded to the Bidder, the bidder will enter into a Contract with the County and furnish the
<br />required Insurance and Performance and Payment Bonds within the timeframe set by the County. If the
<br />bidder fails to do so, the Bid Bond shall be retained by the County as liquidated damages and not as a
<br />penalty.
<br />The County reserves the right to delay awarding of the Contract for a period of sixty (60) days after the
<br />bid opening to waive informalities in any bid, or reject any or all bids in whole or in part with or without
<br />cause/or to accept the bid that, in its judgement, will serve the best interest of IRC Florida. IRC is an
