A. Indian River County: The Contractor is required to notify the Indian River <br /> County Utilities Department 48 hours prior to initiating construction (Gordon <br /> Sparks , 772-567-8000 x 1823). The Contractor is required to notify the <br /> Indian River County Road and Bridge Department 72 hours prior to blocking <br /> any County roads or detouring any traffic (Jim Davis , P . E . , 772-567-8000 , <br /> Extension 1245). <br /> B . Utility Companies : Contractor shall notify the following known utility <br /> companies in the area 48 hours prior to initiating construction : <br /> SUNSHINE LOCATES : (800) 432-4770 <br /> Southern Bell Telephone , Bill Moore , (772) 468-5538 <br /> Comcast, Craig Bowers, (772 ) 567-3444 Ext. 51 <br /> FP& L, Paul Hess , (772) 337-7002 <br /> City Gas Company, Glen 'Bock" Kreinhagen , (561 ) 871 -2552 ext.23 <br /> Florida Gas & Transmission , Cecil Walker, (321 ) 288-8839 <br /> C . The Contractor shall give the Engineer not less than seven (7) calendar <br /> days notice of the time and place (or places) where he will start the work. <br /> D . When the Contractor's excavating operations encounter prehistoric remains <br /> or artifacts of historical or archeological significance, the operations shall be <br /> temporarily discontinued in that area and the Engineer shall be notified . The <br /> Engineer will consult archaeological authorities and determine the <br /> disposition of the remains or artifacts.
