She further stated that Ashton Uptegrove wants help from the County for he and his 8 <br />wife as they are unable to work but are not old enough to receive State Aid or have not been <br />C' <br />here long enough and would like to know if the County would help them or whether she should <br />send them back to North Carolina where they came from. Upon Motion made by Commissioner : <br />Robert Graves, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, the Board told. <br />Mrs. Christensen she could purchase medicine from Dr. Kelso, that the $10.00 per week for the <br />foster children was O.K., and that she should send the Uptegroves back to North Carolina, <br />and the County would pay expenses. <br />w <br />Audit Report #4720 on the audit of the'accounts and records of the Sheriff of <br />Indian River County was presented to the Board and ordered filed as a part of the public <br />records pursuant to Section 21.121 (3) Florida Statutes, and upon Motion made by Commissioner <br />Hamilton, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, the Board further <br />recommends to the sheriff to correct the discrepancies noted in said report by the State <br />Auditor. 41 <br />The Chairman brought up the matter of a dump area for the Sebastian and Roseland <br />area. After some discussion in the matter the Board appointed Chairman Macdonald and the <br />County Engineer to work together with Sebastian on opening up a dump area for Sebastian <br />Roseland. <br />A letter was read from the State Road Department with regard to the Board's Reso- <br />lution <br />lution <br />requesting an additional crossover leading into the property of Mary Lou Durrance, and <br />i <br />stating they were unable to allow said crossover at this point. { <br />Commissioner Robert Graves stated that Alice Helleso of the Health Department would' <br />like to have a Board formed to take care of the Indigency Patients of the County. The matter <br />was tabled for the time being. <br />The following Notary Public Bonds were approved by Douglas Baker, Clerk in,the amoun <br />of $500.00 each as required by law. <br />Dorothy J. Co. as surety. <br />Anna Rose Roll w/ American.Surety Co. as surety. <br />James Vocelle, Jr. w/ American Fire & Casualty Co. as surety. <br />The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were exa- <br />mined and found correct, were approved and warrants issued in settlement of same.
