That consideration be given to lowering grade over the sand ridge just West of the <br />railroad track and to straightening up the alignment. <br />A delegation of colored people from Wabasso•appeared before the Board requesting <br />a ditch be opened up to the North of their property and the road fixed. The Board requested <br />the Engineer to do what he could for them. <br />Alice Helleso from the Health Clinic appeared before the Board and requested that <br />A <br />j the be put on the floor of the Health Clinic. She was informed that this could not be done <br />at this time. <br />Mrs. Anne Christensen, County Welfare Case Worker appeared before the Board and <br />made a report of her activities for the Month of April. Said report was ordered filed by the <br />Clerk. The Chairman appointed a committee consisting of Commissioners W. C. Graves, Jr.; <br />D. B. McCullers, Jr.; Mrs. Christensen and the County Engineer to see about getting plans and <br />i, <br />S do whatever else would be necessary so that work could be started on the Old Folk's Home at <br />1 least by September. <br />1 <br />1 <br />E <br />Guy Sullivan of the Vero Beach Fire Department appeared before the Board and stated <br />that he would like the County to buy the Fire Department a new Resusitator. He stated he <br />would be able to get one for $493.00. Upon motion made by W. C. Graves, Jr., seconded by <br />D. B. McCullers, Jr., and unanimously carried, the Board will appropriate this amount in next <br />year's budget and that said money will be available before the first of January, 1959. <br />The County Engineer brought before the Board a plat of Sun Acres and stated that <br />since this subdivision was only 5 acres he thought it would be alright to do away with the <br />0 Y g g Y <br />park area. Upon motion made by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., seconded by.Commissioner <br />McCullers and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Plat of Sun Acres without a park <br />b area. <br />I� <br />A letter was read from the Taxpayer's Association of Indian River County. The <br />Secretary was asked to write them thanking them for their suggestion. <br />A letter was read from Florida Sta to Nurse's Association, District No. 17, and <br />ordered filed. <br />A letter was read from the Roseland Men's Club requesting that the fresh Water Line <br />in the Sebastian River be established at the same line as it now is in Brevard County.
