1 <br />• <br />1 <br />E <br />C� <br />0 <br />323 <br />R E S O L U T I O N -- Extension of time for <br />Completion of Tax Roll <br />WHEREAS, the County Assessor of Taxes has advised this Board that due to the un- <br />precedented sales and exchanges of property in this County and the addition of numerous items <br />on the Tax Assessment Roll requested by subdividing of lands in the County that further and <br />additional time is required for the completion of the Assessment Roll, NOW, THEREFORE: <br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Floridal <br />that the time for completion of the Assessment Rolls of Indian River County, Florida, for <br />the year 1958 is herewith extended to August 5, 1958. <br />Mr. Fletcher also requested that he be allowed to buy a cabinet from his excess <br />fees. Upon motion made by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., seconded by Commissioner McCullers <br />and unanimously carried, Mr. Fletcher was authorized to spend the necessary amount for the <br />purchase of a new cabinet. <br />A delegation representing the Mental Health Society of Indian River County appeared <br />before the Board and requested the Commissioners appropriate an amount equal to 15� per <br />capita for the operation of a mental health clinic. The delegation was informed that the <br />Commissioners would take this under consideration in making up their new budget. <br />Mr. Robert Duerden of Sebastian appeared before the Board with regard to a <br />dumping area for the County. Upon motion made by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., seconded <br />by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, Sherman N. Smith, Jr., Attorney was <br />requested to work with the City of Sebastian to obtain 10 acres of land from the Roseland <br />airport for a dumping area. <br />Troy E. Moody, Tax Collector appeared before the Board and stated he would like to <br />buy a postage machine. He further stated that Mr. Fletcher had agreed to pay a portion of <br />the cost. Upon motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton and <br />unanimously carried, the Board authorized Mr. Moody secure the necessary equipment, not to <br />exceed $1400.00 to minimize the mailing process. This equipment is to be bought for the <br />benefit of the entire Courthouse and be paid for out of excess fees from the Tax Collector <br />and Tax Assessor's offices. <br />The verdict of the Coroner's Jury in the matter of the body of Luther Priester, <br />deceased, was presented and ordered filed with the clerk. <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Robert Graves <br />and unanimously carried, the Board declared that the Bond posted by Hoyt M. Howard for carry- <br />ing firearms, having expired the 4th day of June, 1958 and not having been renewed, license <br />tofore issued is cancelled and terminated as of that date. <br />Upon motion made by Commissioner W.
