u <br />0 <br />i <br />lm� <br />The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited were examined <br />and found correct, were approved and warrants issued in settlement of same. Such bills and <br />accounts being on file.in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, the warrants so <br />issued from the respective funds being listed in the Supplemental Minute Book as provided by <br />the rules of the State Auditor, reference two such record and the list so recorded being made <br />a part of these minutes. <br />The County depositories filed their monthly statement,, showing receipts and dis:-- <br />bursements of the various funds, which have been audited, were found to be correct. <br />There being no further business on motion, made seconded and carried, the Board <br />then adjourned. <br />ATTEST: <br />SECRETARY <br />CHAIRMAN <br />FRIDAY, AUGUST 15, 1958 <br />A special meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, was held at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida, at 9:00 o'clock A. M. Friday, <br />August 15, 1958. Present were Chairman Donald Macdonald, Robert W. Graves, D. B. McCullers, <br />Jr., and J.. J. P. Hamilton. Absent was W. C. Graves, Jr. Also present were Ed Schmucker, <br />County Engineer, Charles Smith, Attorney and Katherine Morrison, Secretary. <br />Mrs. Dorothy Wimbrow, representing the Pilot Club of 'Vero Beach, appeared before <br />the Board and stated that the Pilot Club would like to take over the Old Folk's Home as their <br />project. She further stated they would act as an advisory committee to the Board of Governor' <br />of the Home, that they would make a survey of Indian River County in relation to the need's <br />of the home and decide how these needs would be met.. She filed a proposed plan with the Com- <br />missioners and upon Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Robert <br />Graves, and unanimously carried, the Board decided that the Pilot Club of Vero Beach be <br />granted their request as proposed in the proposed plan for sponsorship of the Home for the <br />Aged of Indian River County. <br />Alice Helleso of the Health Department appeared before the Board and requested that <br />Mrs. Ethel Klepp be hired as a nurse for the Health Department. Upon Motion made by Robert <br />Graves, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and carried, Mrs. Klepp's appointment to the <br />staff of the Health Department was O.K.ed by the Commissioners. <br />The Board then convened as an Equalization Board, as provided by law. <br />Upon motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Robert Graves <br />and unanimously carried, the following Resolution was adopted: <br />m <br />
