NONMAJOR GOVERNMENTAL FUNDS <br /> SPECIAL REVENUE FUNDS <br /> Court Facilities- To account for expenditures for improvements <br /> made to court facilities . Financing is provided by addi- <br /> tional fees collected by the court system . <br /> Section 8 Rental Assistance- To account for the provision of rental assistance for <br /> low income housing . Financing is provided by <br /> grants from the U . S . Department of Housing and <br /> Urban Development, <br /> Special Law Enforcement- To account for the expenditures of providing law <br /> enforcement equipment. Financing is provided by <br /> confiscation of monies and property in accordance <br /> with Section 932 . 704 of the Florida Statutes . <br /> Parks Development- To account for expenditures for improvements <br /> made to County parks . Financing is provided by the 5 <br /> sale of surplus County property. <br /> ' 1 <br /> Tree Ordinance Fines - <br /> To account for fines assessed against individuals for <br /> illegal removal of protected trees . Funds are used <br /> for park improvements . <br /> Tourist Development- To account for the proceeds from the levy of a local <br /> option Tourist Development tax . Funds are used to ZVI <br /> attract tourism trade and for the benefit of County <br /> residents. <br /> 911 Surcharge - To account for the receipt of the 911 surcharge on <br /> all telephone bills of the County. Monies are used to <br /> pay the operating costs of the 911 Emergency <br /> Center. <br /> Drug Abuse - To account for the collection of fines on criminal <br /> drug cases . Monies are used for drug prevention and <br /> education programs . <br /> State Housing Initiatives Partnership To account for State funds distributed under the State <br /> Housing Initiatives Partnership Act. The purpose of this <br /> program is to provide for the creation and preservation <br /> of affordable housing . Funds are provided by the docu <br /> mentary stamp taxes . <br /> 92 <br />
