<br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, met at the Courthouse,
<br />Vero Beach, Florida in a regular meeting held at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Tuesday, September 2, 1958
<br />All members were present. Also present were Ed Schmucker, County Engineer, Sherman N. Smith,
<br />Jr., Attorney and Katherine Morrison, Secretary.
<br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Robert Graves
<br />and carried, the Board decided to dispense with the reading of the Minutes of August 5 and
<br />August 15th until the next regular meeting.
<br />The Board then re -convened as an Equalization Board, as provided by law.
<br />The County Tax Assessor filed with the Clerk to the Board, and there was presented
<br />to the Board at this meeting, the applications for the tax exemptions set out in the Reso-
<br />lution next following herein, together with original notice of disapproval of said applica-
<br />tions with entry of service upon the respective applicatns, and same were duly reviewed by
<br />the Board together with evidence presented to the Tax Assessor upon which the respective
<br />applicants based their claims for exemption. Only two applicants appeared in person con-
<br />tes ting the Tax Assessor's decision. After considerable discussion with regard to these
<br />two claims and the others, upon Motion made by Commissioner Robert Graves, seconded by
<br />Commissioner McCullers and carried, the following Resolution was adopted:
