1 <br />• <br />1 <br />0 <br />1 <br />1 <br />• <br />R E S O L U T I O N -- Adoption of Budget <br />WHEREAS, the County Auditor, after tentatively ascertaining the proposed fiscal <br />policies of the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, for the fiscal <br />year commencing on the 1st day of October, 1955, and ending on the 30th day of September,. <br />1959, did prepare and present to -the Board of County Commissioners a tentative budget for said <br />fiscal year for each of the funds therein as provided by law, including all estimated receipts <br />taxes to be levied and balances expected to be brought forth and all estimated expenditures, <br />reserves and balances to be carried over at the end of the year; and, <br />WHEREAS, this Board did receive and examine said tentative budget for each fund and <br />did require such changes to be made as the Board did deem necessary and the auditor's estimate <br />of receipts other than taxes and of balances to be brought forward not having been revised, this <br />Board did prepare a statement summarizing all of the tentative budgets showing for each <br />budget in the total of all -budgets the proposed tax millages, the balances, the reserves and <br />the total of each major classification of receipts and expenditures classified according <br />to the classification of accounts prescribed by the Comptroller of the State of Florida; and, <br />WHEREAS, this Board did cause said summary statement to be advertised one time in <br />a newspaper of general circulation published in Indian River County, Florida, to -wit: In the <br />issue of July 22, 1955, of the Vero Beach Press Journal, as will°more fully appear by proof <br />of publication thereof filed in the minutes of this Board; and, <br />WHEREAS, this Board did meet at the time and place stated in said advertisement for <br />the purpose of hearing requests and complaints from the public regarding the budgets and for <br />the purpose of holding a public hearing and making whatever revisions in the budget it may <br />deem necessary; Now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, <br />that this Board does herewith tentatively adopt the budgets for the funds of this Board for <br />the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1955, and ending September 30, 1959, in the form as <br />heretofore prepared and duly advertised; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the tentative budgets shall be filed in the office of <br />the County Auditor as a public record and the County Auditor shall transmit forthwith to the <br />Comptroller of the State of Florida two copies of each of the tentative budgets as adopted, <br />certified by the Chairman of this Board and by the County Auditor as a true and correct copy <br />of the budget as adopted by this Board; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said budgets as -tentatively adopted by this Board shall <br />be considered as finally adopted and as official thirty (30) days from the date the budgets <br />are transmitted to the Sta to Comptroller and no report of exceptions to the budget as filed <br />as been made by the Comptroller. <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., seconded by Commissioner Mc - <br />Cullers, and carried, the following Resolution was adopted: <br />
