CDM
Ms . Polly Kratman
December 23, 2003
Page 2
The ERP will encompass future impacts to both wetlands and waters of the state across all of
the Northern Expansion property. This will include existing wetlands, which the Master Plan
indicates will be impacted by future development as well as the backfilling of the C-5 Canal.
A major component of the ERP is the preparation of a wetland mitigation plan for the
wetlands which will be impacted . The proposed mitigation is expected to include
enhancement of existing wetlands and creation of new wetlands to compensate for wetland
impacts .
This scope also includes a task for an updated conceptual design of the onsite landfill
stormwater management system . This work will include development of an engineering
layout of the future landfill areas including stormwater ponds, major ditches and major
culverts needed to implement the Master Plan layout.
The following are provided herein as part of the proposal :
■ Attachment A - Engineering Work Authorization
■ Attachment B - Scope of Work and Project Schedule
■ Attachment C - Project Budget Summary and Schedule
■ Attachment D - Survey Subconsultant Proposal
This work will be performed by local consultants, CDM and Carter Associates, Inc . as well as
a geotechnical subconsultant out of Orlando, Law & Associates and a wetlands consultant,
Ecosystems Research Corporation.
We look forward to working with the Solid Waste Disposal District on this project.
