ATTACHMENT A <br /> SCOPE OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT <br /> OSLO CONVENIENCE CENTER DESIGN, PERMITTING, AND CONSTRUCTION SERVICES <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The Indian River County Solid Waste Disposal District (IRC SWDD) currently operates a <br /> residential Collection/ Recycling (Convenience) Center at the former Oslo Landfill site. In an <br /> effort to provide an increased level of service to its residents, IRC SWDD is proposing to build a <br /> new convenience center at the Oslo site to replace the existing facility. The new convenience <br /> center is proposed to be build at a location adjacent to the existing facility. The existing <br /> convenience center will remain operational until the new facility is complete. This proposal <br /> includes design, permitting, bidding, and construction services. The scope of services for this <br /> project is described below. <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> CDM will undertake the design, permitting, bidding, and construction oversight of the Oslo <br /> Convenience Center. Based on recent discussions with IRC staff and our brief review of the <br /> existing information, we understand the work to include the following items : <br /> PHASE I - DATA COLLECTION, DESIGN, PERMITTING, AND BIDDING <br /> ■ Data Review, Collection, and Evaluation <br /> ■ Design Services <br /> ■ Permitting Assistance <br /> ■ Bidding Services <br /> ■ Project/ Quality Management <br /> PHASE II - CONSTRUCTION SERVICES <br /> ■ General Engineering Services <br /> ■ Special Engineering Services <br /> ■ Construction Services <br /> PHASE I - DATA COLLECTION, DESIGN, PERMITTING, AND BIDDING <br /> TASK 1.0 - DATA COLLECTION <br /> This task consists of the development of permitting and construction plans and technical <br /> specifications necessary to permit and bid the facilities listed above. The design will be suitable <br /> for competitive bidding by qualified general contractors. Data collection for the preparation of <br /> detailed engineering plans and permit applications is also included in this task. <br /> The design service tasks will consist of: <br /> ■ Data collection and review <br /> ■ Site plan layout and design <br /> A-1 jb 1566.doc <br />
