V I <br />?A <br />9 <br />requested that the Engineer and Attorney look the plat over carefully before any action was <br />taken on whether or not to O.K. for platting. <br />Mrs. Anne Christensen, County Welfare Case Worker gave her report for the month <br />of September and said report was ordered filed. <br />Jack Schwey appeared before the Board on behalf of a client of his and requested <br />i <br />permission to temporarily fence off a public right of way, said public right of way being Westlo <br />on Oslo Road just West of Lateral B-4. Upon Motion made by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr. <br />!h <br />seconded by Commissioner Hamilton and carried, the Board appointed Commissioner Robert Graves <br />to see wa just where this right of is and decide whether or not to fence this right of way <br />� g Y <br />temporarily. <br />A petition was received from Quintas H. Barker and others on Old Dixie Highway <br />stating they refuse to deed forty feet either side of the centerline of Old Dixie Highway <br />for right of way. Said petition was ordered filed. w <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., seconded by Commissioner Me - <br />Cullers and unanimously carried, the following Resolution was adopted: <br />R E S O L U T I O N -- Keen's Grocery <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida,1 <br />that this Board does herewith find and determine as follows: <br />1. That Roy L. Keen and Hilda M. Keen, his wife, have requested this Board to adopt, <br />a resolution, closing, vacating and abandoning and renouncing and relinquishing the rights <br />of Indian River County, Florida, or the public in and to the following described easement ovei <br />a parcel of land, located in Indian River County, Florida, described as follows: <br />A five foot easement along the rear of Lots 1, 2 and the North 20 ft. <br />of Lot 3 of Block 1 of Rosedale Gardens Subdivision, as recorded <br />in Plat Book 1, page 10, public records of Indian River County, Florida, <br />for the location of sewers, poles, water pipes, drains, telephone and <br />electric cables or ducts. <br />2. That the said easement on the above described land is not now and has never <br />i <br />been used as a public easement and is not located within the incorporated limits of any mun- <br />icipality and is located in Indian River County, Florida. <br />9 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Board does herewith close, vacate and abandon the <br />said easement as the same is hereinabove described and does hereby renounce and disclaim any <br />right of Indian River County, Florida, and the public in and to all lands comprising said <br />easement. <br />Sherman N. Smith, Jr Attorney sta ted he had received a letter from Merrill P. <br />Barber with a request that the County donate somthing toward a barbeque, etc. to be held in <br />0 <br />honor of Waldo Sexton.
