1 l � i <br /> O � t G � Np F :\Public Works\Capital Projects\Forty-Third Avenue\contracts&agr\Carter.agr.doc <br /> 43rd AVENUE ROADWAY AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS <br /> PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES AGREEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this 7th day of October , 2003 , by and <br /> between INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, a political subdivision of the State of Florida, hereinafter referred to as the <br /> COUNTY, and CARTER ASSOCIATES , INC . , Vero Beach, Florida, hereinafter referred to as the ENGINEER, <br /> WITNESSETH <br /> The COUNTY and the ENGINEER, in consideration of their mutual covenants, herein agree with respect to <br /> the performance of professional engineering, land surveying, and related services by the ENGINEER and the <br /> payment for those services by the COUNTY as set forth below. <br /> The ENGINEER shall provide professional engineering and related services for the COUNTY in all phases <br /> of the project described in Section III - Scope of Services ; serve as the COUNTY' S professional representative for <br /> the project; and shall give professional engineering, land surveying, and environmental permitting advice to the <br /> COUNTY during the performance of the services to be rendered. <br /> SECTION I - PROJECT LIMITS AND DESCRIPTION <br /> Consultant services are required for the completion of roadway improvement plans, and permit acquisitions <br /> for roadway and drainage improvements on 43rd Avenue from 8th Street to the bridge over the Main Relief Canal, <br /> north of 20'h Street (SR-60) . The limits include County road rights-of-way and private property construction <br /> easement areas along 43rd Avenue, 44th Avenue, 80' Street, 9`h Lane, 91h Place, 10th Street, 11th Street, 12' Street, 12th <br /> Place, 13 'h Street, 13th Place, 14th Street, 14`h Place, 14`h Lane, 15 `h Street, 15th Place, 16'bStreet, 18th Street, <br /> 19`h <br /> Street, and 20`h Street (SR-60) , as well as adjacent IRFWCD and FDOT rights-of-way. <br /> Consultant services are required to revise the 100% plans previously produced by the ENGINEER (dated <br /> June 2000) to incorporate scope and detail changes that have developed since that date , complete and update all <br /> necessary permits, prepare bidding documents , then bid, award, and administer the construction of the project. <br /> SECTION II - COUNTY OBLIGATIONS <br /> The COUNTY agrees to provide the following material, data, or services as required in connection with the <br /> work to be performed under this Agreement; all of which information the ENGINEER may use and reasonably rely <br /> upon: <br /> A .
