4 , 0 <br /> / 7/31 /03PWDjwdwdb <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br /> PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT 1 1 <br /> PROJECT #0222 <br /> PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES AGREEMENT <br /> New Roadway Planning Project <br /> THIS AGREEMENT , entered into this 12th day of August , 2003 by and <br /> between INDIAN RIVER COUNTY , a political subdivision of the State of Florida , <br /> hereinafter referred to as the "COUNTY" , and Carter Associates , Inc . , 1708 21St. Street , <br /> Vero Beach , Florida , 32960 , hereinafter referred to as the " ENGINEER" . <br /> WITNESSETH <br /> That the COUNTY and the ENGINEER , in consideration of their mutual <br /> covenants , herein agree with respect to the performance of professional engineering <br /> services by the ENGINEER , and the payment for those services by the COUNTY , as <br /> set forth below and in individual Work Orders . This agreement shall be referred to as <br /> the " MASTER AGREEMENT" under which future Work Orders will apply . The contract <br /> scope of work is to develop a New Roadway Planning Study for the unincorporated <br /> Indian River County area where new residential development is occurring . This study <br /> will identify possible road improvement design alternatives and cost estimates for <br /> unmaintained roads in developing areas . The ENGINEER ' S work will include but may <br /> not be limited to , engineering design and calculations , preparation of existing condition <br /> road attribute survey and spread sheet, preliminary technical specifications , Engineer' s <br /> Opinion of Probable Construction Cost , and permit requirement determination for St . <br /> John ' s River Water Management District and other State , Federal , and Local permit <br /> authorities . <br /> The ENGINEER shall provide the COUNTY with professional engineering <br /> services and such other related services as defined in specific Work Orders , in all <br /> phases of each project .
