U' <br />04 <br />� V <br />7 <br />aided and comforted by such facility, express sincere thanks and appreciation to the members <br />'I <br />of the City Council and to the citizens of the City of Vero Beach for this most generous <br />contribution to such a desirable and necessary public project; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Resolution 'shall be delivered <br />to the Council of the City of Vero Beach. <br />- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - <br />A discussion was then held as to how the Charter should be drawn up for the opera - <br />ii <br />tion of the County Home, but no decision was reached. <br />The County Attorney submitted a Memorandum stating that on the 16th Street r/w the ij <br />appraised value for Parcel 6, SRD 34, property of William A. Meyer was $428.04, and that he <br />will accept payment of $550.00. He further stated this seemed reasonalle due to the fact <br />that he had not obtained an attorney and his parcel was one of those included in the Con- <br />demnation Suit. Upon motion made by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., seconded by Commissioner';', <br />McCullers and carried, the Board agreed to pay Mr. Meyers the amount of $550.00. <br />The matter of a lifeguard for Wabasso Beach was brought up again before the Board,. <br />and it was stated that the County would have to cancel the lease with the Wabasso Civic Club for <br />at least the Beach area in order for the County to be able to pay for a lifeguard. If the <br />Wabasso Civic Club was agreeable to this it could be incorporated in the next year's budget. <br />This was agreed upon by the Board on Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by <br />Commissioner Hamilton an d carried. <br />The County Attorney stated he had not at this time received an appraisal from Mr. <br />Jewett on the Hewitt property, but would inform the Board as soon as he did. <br />Mrs. Anne Christensen., County Welfare Case Worker appeared before the Board and <br />gave her report for the Month of October and said report was ordered filed. <br />Mrs. Rosemary Richey, Supervisor of Registration appeared before the Board and <br />requested the Board purchase for her office an addressograph machine. Upon Motion made by <br />Commissioner Robert Graves, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton and carried, the Board re- <br />quested the County A ttorney to prepare a bi4 notice for the purchase of such a machine. <br />The following Notary Public Bonds in the amount of $500.00 each were approved <br />by Douglas Baker, Clerk as provided by law. <br />Margaret Burrough with American Surety Co. of N. Y. as surety:.. <br />Commissioner McCullers, introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption <br />as follows; to -wit: <br />R E S 0 L U T 1 0 N -- Item to Item Transfers <br />WHEREAS, there is a total surplus of $1,200.00 in the General Revenue Fund of Indian <br />River County under some items and which surplus exists after the payment of all necessary <br />expenditures under such items for the current fiscal year; and <br />WHEREAS, there is a deficiency in funds necessary to provide for the proper and <br />authorized expenditures under some items in the General Revenue Fund and <br />I <br />I - <br />0 <br />I <br />ve <br />I <br />I <br />
