GENERAL <br /> This change order is necessary to increase the actual work and resulting costs performed <br /> under this Contract. <br /> It. REQUIRED CHANGES <br /> Add about 1 , 553 LF of 24" Force Main on the north bank of the canal on the north side of <br /> 4 Street. <br /> III . JUSTIFICATION <br /> The Public Works Department changed the plans for the 82nd Ave bridge over the canal <br /> on the north side of 4 1hStreet which required that a Directional Drill crossing be utilized <br /> rather than placing the force main on the bridge Unfortunately, there is not adequate <br /> right-of-way on 4 1h Street to allow construction of the Directional Drill force main under the <br /> canal and still remain within the right-of-way of 4 Street An alternative route was <br /> approved by the IRFWCD on May 11 2006 along the north bank of the canal on the <br /> north side of 41" Street from 82" Ave . west to the West Regional WWTF eliminating the <br /> need to cross the 4 Street canal on the 82" Avenue bridge.
