List the major action steps, activities, or cycles of events that will occur within the <br /> program year. New programs should include any start-up planning that may occur <br /> outside the funding year. In completing the timetable, review information detailed in <br /> prior sections. <br /> Month/Period Activities <br /> CHILDREN <br /> Ongoing year round Monday evening activity night — sports, arts & crafts, music, movies, <br /> etc. To teach children how to spend quality time at home without <br /> spending money. <br /> Quarterly 1) Ages 4- 17 one session per week for 8 weeks of Self-Esteem <br /> Classes. <br /> 2) Ages 4- 17 one session per week for 8 weeks of Character <br /> Values. <br /> 3) Between the above sessions — classes on Health & Safety <br /> are conducted by the Children' s Coordinator. <br /> Monthly Family outings that are staff supervised are held to teach and ensure <br /> quality time between parents and child(ren). Events are held at the <br /> Brevard Zoo, North County Pool, Riverside Children's Theatre, Vero <br /> Beach Dodgers, area recreational parks, Royal Palm Fountain, local <br /> beaches, etc. <br /> As new children (age A 12 week Domestic Violence Program is conducted by the Mental <br /> appropriate) enter the Health Association. <br /> program <br /> ADULTS <br /> Quarterly 1 ) Eight week Health & Safety sessions are conducted by Case <br /> Manager <br /> 2) Eight week Positive Discipline sessions are conducted by Case <br /> Manager <br /> In between Parenting An eight week session on Domestic Violence is conducted by the <br /> Classes Mental Health Association. <br /> As time allows Various classes on Budget & Financial planning, Anger Management <br /> and other education opportunities are offered. <br /> As needed Individual parenting education is provided through case management. <br /> 14 <br />
