171 <br />7 <br />1 <br />1 <br />0 <br />1 <br />• <br />Cory Walker appeared before the Board and stated that in this last session of the <br />Legislature, a bill had been passed which would entitle the Ninth Judicial Circuit to one or <br />additional Circuit Judges if the population increase so warranted, and requested the Board <br />pass a resolution authorizing the Governor to appoint a committee to take the census to see <br />then or not this Circuit was entitled to another Judge. Upon Motion made by Commissioner <br />donald, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, the following Resolution <br />adopted: <br />R E S O L U T I O N <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner McCullers, the <br />following resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />WHEREAS there has been a tremendous increase in the population of the area com- <br />sing the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida; and <br />WHEREAS there is urgent need to determine whether the Ninth Judicial Circuit is <br />itled to an additional Circuit Judge by reason of said increase in population; and <br />WHEREAS the Indian River County Bar Association has requested this Board of Com!!—t <br />Toners to request the appointment of a Commission to determine the population of the Ninth <br />Judicial Circuit; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED that His Excellency, the Governor of Florida, be and he is hereby, <br />sted to appoint without delay a Commission to determine the population of the Ninth Judic <br />rcuit of Florida, under the provisions of Chapter 26.011, Fla. Stat. 1957; and to determine <br />ther said Ninth Judicial Circuit is entitled to an additional Circuit Judge, or Judges, under <br />provisions of said Chapter 26.011, Fla. Stat. 1957; be it <br />FURTHER ORDERED that certified copy hereof be mailed forthwith to Honorable LeRoy <br />llins, Governor of Florida. <br />DONE AND ADOPTED in regular session on this the 21st. day of July, A. The Board stated that of course they had nothing to do with drainage except <br />ere water would cause damage to our roads. However, they requested the County Engineer to <br />eck and see what the problem would involve. <br />Charles Sullivan appeared before the Board representing a group of property owners <br />the Hibiscus Airport property and stated they had petitioned the Zoning Board to <br />zone the Hibiscus property from an -'.Industrial Area to R-1, Single Firmly Residence, or to <br />zone so that it could be used as an airport but not for other industrial use.
