<br /> Indian River County will receive sealed bids until 2 : 00 P . M . on Wednesday , December 8 , 2004 .
<br /> Each bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and shall bear the name and address of the
<br /> bidder on the outside and the words "Water, Sewer and Reclaim Water Line
<br /> Replacement/Extension and Miscellaneous Labor Contract, Bid No . 7033 " . All bids, either mailed
<br /> or walked in , will be received by the Purchasing Division , 1840 25th ST , N -118 , Vero Beach , Florida ,
<br /> where they will be opened publicly and read aloud at 2 : 00 PM . All bids received after 2 : 00 P . M . , of
<br /> the day specified above, will be returned unopened .

<br /> WATER, SEWER AND RECLAIM WATER LINE REPLACEMENT/EXTENSION AND
<br /> MISCELLANEOUS LABOR CONTRACT
<br /> General Project Description : The proposed work consists of various water distribution ,
<br /> wastewater collection and reclaim water transmission system improvements at various locations
<br /> In Indian River County and as specified in each of the Owner's individual Work
<br /> Authorizations/Work Orders issued throughout the life of the Contract. The work may include after
<br /> hours work and emergency type as defined in contract documents. All material (furnished by
<br /> County) and all equipment furnished and all work performed (by Contractor) shall be in strict
<br /> accordance with the Indian River County Department of Utility Services Water & Wastewater Utility
<br /> Standards dated September 1 , 2004. Copies of the necessary Bid Documents may be obtained
<br /> from the Indian River County Utilities Department, 1840 25th ST, Street, Vero Beach . Florida 32960
<br /> by deposit of a check made payable to Indian River County in the amount of Fifty Dollars ($50 .00)
<br /> for each set, which represents the cost of printing , handling and mailing and is non =refundable.

<br /> All bids shall be submitted in duplicate on the Bid Proposal forms provided within the
<br /> specifications, A BID BOND must accompany each Bid , and be properly executed by the Bidder
<br /> and by a qualified surety, or a certified check or cashier' s check on any bank authorized to do
<br /> business in the State of Florida , in the sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount
<br /> of bid , made payable to Indian River County Board of County Commissioners. In the event the
<br /> Contract is awarded to the Bidder, he will enter into a Contract with the County and furnish the
<br /> required Performance and Payment Bonds. If he fails to do so , he shall forfeit the said Bid Bond
<br /> as liquidated damages. Each bidder shall also provide, with his bid , satisfactory evidence that he
<br /> can secure a performance bond for up to $300 ,000 .
<br /> The County reserves the right to delay awarding of the Contract for a period of sixty (60) days
<br /> after the bid opening to waive informalities in any bid , or reject any or all bids in whole or in part
<br /> with or without cause/or to accept the bid that, in its judgement, will serve the best interest of
<br /> Indian River County Florida .
<br /> A Pre-Bid Conference meetinsa will be held on Friday at 10 : 00 A. M . December 3, 2004, in the
<br /> Conference Room " B " of the Indian River County Administration Building located at 1840 25th ST,
<br /> Vero Beach , Florida 32960 . This meeting Is NON-MANDATORY.
