Fred Gossett appeared before the Board and requested the use of the <br />land directly south of the Sunshine Center and owned by the County for the <br />use of the Babe Ruth League. After some discussion in the matter and upon <br />Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Waddell and <br />unanimously carried, the Board granted the use of the land between the <br />Sunshine Center and the School Board's land for the use of the Babe truth <br />League until such time as the County has need of same. The Board further <br />stressed that at any time the County was in need of this land they would <br />have to move whatever improvements they had made. <br />A representative of the Addressograph-Multigraph Corporation appeared <br />before the Board and stated that Mrs. Richey was in need of a Graphatypc <br />Machine and was requesting that Mrs. Richey be allowed to amend her budget <br />in the amount of $1,000.00 and Mr. Fletcher in the amount of $1600.00 to <br />allow her to buy this piece of equipment. The Board informed him this <br />matter would have to be taken up at the time the new budget is being set. <br />Mrs. Anne Christensen, County Welfare Worker gave her report for the <br />month of March, and said report was ordered filed. <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />Waddell and unanimously carried, the Board authorized the payment of expenses <br />for Mrs. Christensen to attend a conference of the Florida Association of <br />County Welfare Executives Meeting. <br />The Secretary of State having certified the candidates qualified for <br />State Offices to this Board, and Douglas Baker, Clerk of the Circuit Court, <br />having certified the candidates qualified for County Offices, the following <br />named persons were placed on the official Democratic Ballot of Indian River <br />
