M. on Tuesday, May <br />17, 1960, and at said time, publicly <br />open the same at a meeting of <br />said Board to be held in the County <br />Commissioners Room, Indian River <br />County Courthouse, Vero Beach, <br />Florida, for the construction of a <br />soil cement base for 12th Street in <br />Indian River County, Florida, from <br />20thAvenue to 6th Avenue as per <br />plans. Approximately 15,000 sq. <br />yards to be constructed as per the <br />following specifications. <br />A.) Width 20' - 0" minimum <br />B.) Uniform depth of 6". <br />C.) The bid to be on the basis <br />of a cement percentage of eight <br />(8) percent by volume. Final per- <br />centage to be determined by the, <br />Pittsburgh Testing Laboratories <br />with County Engineer's approval. <br />Contract price adjusted on the <br />basis of five (5) cents per square <br />yard per one percent of increase <br />or decrease in cement percentage <br />by volume. <br />D.) Bids to be submitted on the <br />basis of a unit price per square <br />yard. This bid price is to in- <br />clude final base grading to <br />Flakes set by County, furnishing <br />of single pass stabilizer with a <br />minimum of a ten (10) foot width <br />mixing box, capable of processing <br />total road width in two single <br />passes. Bid to include all neces- <br />sary equipment as grading, com- <br />pacting, and water equipment <br />adequate to maintain processing <br />in workmanship manner. All <br />water, cement, and asphalt to be <br />furnisked by contractor as per <br />County specifications. Seal coat' <br />shall be a minimum of .15 gallon <br />Of RC <br />-i asphalt per square <br />yard. The sanding of the seal' <br />coat to be furnished by County. <br />Cement to be domestic per ASTM <br />specifications Type I. <br />E.) Final payment quantity to <br />be based on square yardage re- <br />ported by Pittsburgh Testing <br />Laboratories subject to approval <br />by County Engineer. <br />F.)
