Upon Motion made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Hamilton and carried, that public hearing be held for vacating said road <br />on August 2, 1960 at 9:30 A. M. <br />Geo. S. Coven of the Wabasso Civic Club was present and stated that it <br />seemed their lease on the County Wabasso Beach had run out and requested they <br />be allowed a new lease. Irene McHargue was also present and stated she <br />would like to have the lease on the property as she is now running the inn <br />and keeping the property up. After some discussion in the matter and upon <br />Motion made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton and <br />carried, it was decided that the County would advertise for proposals on <br />this property, said proposals to be returnable on August 2nd. A committee <br />of Commissioner Waddell and Commissioner McCullers were appointed to work <br />with anyone who would be interested in submitting a proposal. <br />Dorothy Zeuch of the pilot club was recognized by the Chair and pre- <br />sented a revised budget for the operation of a nursing home. Quite a dis- <br />cussion was held and it was the consensus of opinion by the Board that such <br />a home at this time would cost too much to operate. <br />Milton Strickland was recognized by the Chair and stated that they <br />would like the hours for the sale of alcoholic beverages changed to permit <br />the sale of alcoholic beverages from 1 o'clock P.M. on Sunday to 12 midnight <br />the year around instead of just 4 months out of the year. After some dis- <br />cussion in the matter and upon Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, <br />seconded by Commissioner Hamilton and unanimously carried the following <br />Resolution was adopted: <br />
