WHEREAS, it now appears that in order for such a home to be <br />built and operated at a cost to this County which would not exceed the per <br />individual cost as now expended by this County, that a total of twelve persons <br />would be required who are presently receiving public assistance from this <br />Board for such purposes and who are presently maintained in private institu- <br />tions; Now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, Florida, as follows: <br />1. That this Board does herewith express its appreciation, both <br />on its own behalf and for and upon behalf of the people of this County for the <br />fine work perforne d to date by the Pilot Club of Indian River County on this <br />worthwhile project. <br />2. That this Board does herewith find and determine that the con- <br />struction of Hibiscus Manor should be deferred until its construction and <br />operation becomes economically feasible. <br />3. That this Board does herewith request the Pilot Club of Indian <br />River County to continue and maintain its interest and its suggestions and <br />assistance to this Board on this project and to keep and maintain the same <br />as its public and civic affairs project. <br />4. That this Board in cooperation with the Pilot Club will review <br />and reanalyze this project from time to time and when the project is determ- <br />ined to be financially feasible that this Board proposes to construct Hibiscus <br />Manor. <br />5. That when so constructed, this Board desires the assistance of <br />the Pilot Club in equipping Hibiscus Manor for operation, in finding proper <br />and qualified personnel to whom said Hibiscus Manor may be leased for <br />operation by said personnel in order that it may be operated as a private <br />institution. <br />6. That certified copies of this Resolution be furnished to the <br />Pilot Club of Indian River County and to the Press and Radio. <br />
