E. Shop Drawings submitted to the Architect for his approval shall first show evidence of <br /> being checked by the Contractor, the prima-facie evidence of which shall be a 0 <br /> "CHECKED" stamp marked "APPROVED" or "APPROVED AS NOTED" on each <br /> copy of each shop drawings, placed thereon by the Contractor. Shop drawings <br /> received without the Contractor' s " CHECKED" stamp will be cause for <br /> immediate return without further action by the Architect until properly <br /> resubmitted . Each drawing correctly submitted will be checked by the <br /> Architect and marked by him in one of the following ways : <br /> a. REVIEWED : NO EXCEPTIONS TAKEN <br /> b . REVIEWED : NOTE COMMENTS AND MAKE <br /> CORRECTIONS AS NOTED <br /> c. REVIEWED : REVISE AND RESUBMIT <br /> d . REVIEWED : REJECTED <br /> F . Copies of Product Data: mark each copy to indicate actual product to be provided; <br /> show selections from among options in manufacturer' s printed product data. Submit <br /> six copies; two copies of which will be returned where required for maintenance <br /> manuals ; and an additional copy to be maintained at project site for reference purposes . <br /> Do not proceed with installation of manufactured products until a copy of related <br /> product data is in installer' s possession. <br /> 2 .02 SUBSTITUTIONS <br /> A . Approval Required: <br /> 1 . The Contract is based on the standards of quality established in the Contract <br /> Documents. <br /> 2 . All products proposed for use, including those specified by required attributes <br /> and performance, shall require approval by the Architect before being <br /> incorporated into the work. <br /> 3 . Do not substitute materials, equipment or methods unless such substitution has <br /> been specifically approved for this work by the Architect, in writing. <br /> B . "Or Equal" : <br /> 1 . Where the phrase "or equal" or "or equal as approved by the Architect" occurs <br /> in the Contract Documents, do not assume that materials , equipment or <br /> methods will be approved as equal unless the item has been specifically <br /> approved in writing by the Architect. <br /> 2.
