SECTION 01500 - TEMPORARY FACILITIES & CONTROLS <br /> PAR 1 - GENERAL <br /> 1 . 01 GENERAL <br /> Refer to General Conditions for commitments which result in requirements for Contractor <br /> to provide temporary facilities as may be required for performance of the work and <br /> fulfillment of the Contract. This section specifies certain minimum temporary facilities <br /> to be provided regardless of methods and means selected for performance of the work, <br /> but not by way of limitation and not assured for compliance with governing regulation. <br /> Use of alternate temporary facilities is Contractor' s option, subject to Owner' s <br /> acceptance. to <br /> facilities is defined to exclude +cols anal construction machines, <br /> testing, demolition, alterations, soil borings, mock-ups and similar items. The contractor <br /> shall be responsible for the cost of all consumed utilities until such time as the Owner is <br /> issued the "Certificate of Occupancy" . <br /> PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> 2 . 01 DEWATERING <br /> Maintain site and construction work free of water accumulation. Do not endanger the <br /> work or adjacent properties. Maintain protection against flooding. Protect existing <br /> drainage systems . <br /> 2 . 02 POWER DISTRIBUTION <br /> Provide weatherproof, grounded circuits with groundfault interruption feature, with <br /> proper power characteristics and either permanently wired or plug--in-connections as <br /> appropriate for intended use. Provide overload-protected disconnect switch for each <br /> circuit at distribution panel . Space 4'gang convenience outlets (20 Amp circuit) so that <br /> every portion of work can be reached with a 100-foot extension cord . <br /> 2 . 03 TEMPORARY LIGHTING <br /> Provide lighting of intensity and qualify sufficient for proper and safe performance of the <br /> work, and for access thereto. <br /> 2 . 04 TEMPORARY DRIVES <br /> Where feasible, use subbase and base construction of permanent drives and paving as <br /> temporary paved construction areas ; and delay installation of finish paving courses until <br /> possibility of damage from construction operations has been minimized.
