At closeout time, clean or reclean entire work to normal level for "first class" <br /> mainteriance/cleaning of building projects of a similar nature . Remove non-permanent \ J <br /> protection and labels, polish glass, clean exposed finished, touch-up minor finish damage, <br /> clean or replace filters of mechanical systems, remove debris and broom-clean non- <br /> occupied spaces, sanitize plumbing facilities, clean light fixtures and replace burned- <br /> out/dimmed lamps , sweep and wash paved areas, police yards and grounds to the property <br /> line, and perform similar cleanup operations needed to produce a "clean" condition as <br /> determined by Architect and Owner' s Representative. <br /> 3 . 02 PROCEDURES AT SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION <br /> A . Prerequisites : Comply with General Conditions and complete the following before <br /> requesting the Architect' s inspection of the work, or designated portion thereof, for <br /> substantial completion : <br /> Complete installation of building and equipment to such level as the Owner could, <br /> if necessary, occupy the facilities . <br /> Submit executed warranties, workmanship bonds, maintenance agreements , <br /> inspection certificates and similar required documentation for specific units of <br /> work, enabling Owner' s unrestricted occupancy and use. <br /> Complete instruction of Owners operating personnel, and start-up of systems . <br /> Complete final cleaning, and remove temporary facilities and tools . <br /> B . Inspection Procedures : Upon completion of Contractor' s request for inspection the <br /> Architect will either proceed with inspection or advice Contractor of prerequisites <br /> not fulfilled . Following initial inspection, the Architect will either prepare <br /> certificate of substantial completion, or advise Contractor of work which must be <br /> performed prior to issuance of certificate; and repeat inspection when requested and <br /> assured that work has been substantially completed . Results of completed <br /> inspection will form initial "punch-list" for final acceptance. <br /> 3 . 03 PROCEDURES AT FINAL ACCEPTANCE <br /> Upon receipt of Contractor ' s notice that work has been completed, including punch-list <br /> items resulting from earlier inspections, and excepting incomplete items delayed because <br /> of acceptable circumstances, the Architect will reinspect the work. Upon completion of <br /> reinspection the Architect will either recommend final acceptance and final payment, or <br /> advise contractor of work not completed or obligations not fulfilled as required for final <br /> acceptance, if necessary, procedure will be repeated. <br /> * * *END OF SECTION''' <br /> 01700-2 <br />
