0410$.08 <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />180127th Street <br />Vero Beach, Florida 32960 <br />Telephone: (772) 567-8000 FAX: (772)-778-9391 <br />Field and Laboratory Quality Control (QC) <br />for <br />Oslo Road and Oslo Road Boat Ramp Improvements <br />IRC Project No. 0381 <br />WORK ORDER NO. 3 (Engineering Division) <br />FOR <br />FOR PROFESSIONAL GEOTECHNICAL SERVICES AGREEMENT <br />FOR ANNUAL GEOTECHNICAL SERVICES CONTRACT NO. 0534 <br />WITH <br />DUNKELBERGER ENGINEERING & TESTING, INC. <br />All services performed under this contract shall be supervised and certified by a licensed <br />Professional Engineer (PE) registered with the State of Florida and staff employed directly with <br />your firm. <br />Scope of Services <br />All work shall be performed on a unit price basis in accordance with the attached Scope of <br />Services dated September 11, 2007 and shall comply with Standards enumerated in the <br />RENEWAL OF THE ANNUAL GEOTECHNICAL SERVICES CONTRACT IRC PROJECT NO. <br />0534 WITH DUNKELBERGER EGINEERING & TESTING INC. Effective Date: October 1, <br />2007. <br />Minimum Specification Requirements as follows: <br />PROJECT CONSIDERATIONS <br />This project involves improvements to approximately 3,000 feet of Oslo Road (9`" Street SE) <br />east of US 1 in Indian River County, Florida. The existing Oslo Road east of US 1 is a 2 -lane <br />paved road for a distance of about 1600 feet, where it becomes a dirt road that extends east to <br />a boat ramp leading to Indian River Lagoon. The proposed improvements on Oslo Road begin <br />at about 1,100 feet east from the US 1 intersection (Station 245+17) and end at a planned cul- <br />de-sac at Station 275+45. Both sides of the existing road are densely wooded. <br />The improvements between Stations 245+17 and 250+00 will consist of leveling and resurfacing <br />the asphalt surface of the existing paved roadway, along with 2 -foot widening in some sections. <br />Between Stations 250+00 and 263+40, the proposed improvements will consist of paving two, <br />11 -foot wide travel lanes. Between Stations 263+40 and 267+40, the improvements will consist <br />of a divided two-lane paved road with a sodded median. From Station 267+40 to 272+40, the <br />proposed improvements consist of two 12 -foot wide lanes, along with a 40 -foot wide boat trailer <br />parking area and 20 -foot wide access drive to the south. Between Stations 272+40 and <br />274+70, the proposed improvements will consist of two 12 -foot wide lanes and a 30 -foot wide <br />parking area to the south.
