Provide a minimum of 18-inches clearance between the drainage structure <br /> bottom and the top of the pipe . If possible , deflect the pipe joints to <br /> provide the elevation transition between the remaining existing PVC pipe <br /> and the new ductile iron pipe . New PVC water main may be used to <br /> provide the transition required to maintain appropriate joint deflections . <br /> Otherwise , use 45-degree bends with appropriate joint restraint, to make <br /> the elevation transition . " The flagman will <br /> be provided by the railroad , but the railroad will charge for the flagman 's <br /> services . This cost shall be included in the Contractor's bid for the railroad <br /> bore and jack. <br /> 8 . g .
