1 SECTION 02232 <br /> GRASSING BY HYDRO -SEEDING <br /> PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> 1 . 1 SCOPE <br /> A . Furnish all material , labor, equipment , and supervision required to hydro-seed the <br /> areas shown on the Drawings or specified herein . All disturbed areas not to receive <br /> sod shall receive hydro-seeding . Produce a healthy stand of grass , free of weeds <br /> and foreign growth . <br /> Be Areas to be hydro-seeded for payment : <br /> 1 . Hydro-seed the area outside of the stormwater pond between the proposed <br /> fence and the 41 st Street pavement . <br /> PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> 2 . 1 MATERIALS <br /> A . <br /> FERTI LIZER - <br /> Fertilizer shall be slow release fertilizer and It shall comply with state <br /> fertilizer laws and shall have a 164-8 chemical analysis as follows : <br /> ( 1 . Total Nitrogen - not less than 16 percent . <br /> 2 . Available Phosphoric Acid - not less than 4 percent. At least 50 percent of <br /> the phosphoric acid shall be from normal super phosphate or an equivalent <br /> source that will provide a minimum of two units of sulfur. The amount of <br /> sulfur shall be indicated on the quantitative analysis card attached to each <br /> bag or other container. <br /> 3 . Water Soluble Potash an not less than 8 percent . <br /> Apply the fertilizer at a rate of 1 , 000 pounds per acre . <br /> Be SEED - The quantity of grass seed shall be as specified in Index 104 of the <br /> F . D . O . T . " Roadway and Traffic Design Standards , " and the seed shall conform <br /> ' to the requirements of Section 981 of the F . D . O . T . "Standard Specifications for <br /> Road and Bridge Construction . " <br /> ' C .
