SECTION 01611 <br /> ' STORAGE OF MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT <br /> 1 . 1 GENERAL <br /> A . Store and protect materials and equipment in accordance with manufacturer's <br /> recommendations and requirements of Specifications . <br /> B . Make all arrangements and provisions necessary for the storage of materials and <br /> equipment . Place all excavated materials , construction equipment , and materials <br /> ' and equipment to be incorporated into the Work, so as not to injure any part of the <br /> Work or existing facilities , and so that free access can be had at all times to all <br /> parts of the Work and to all public utility installations in the vicinity of the Work . <br /> ' Keep materials and equipment neatly and compactly stored in locations that will <br /> cause a minimum of inconvenience to other contractors , public travel , adjoining <br /> owners , tenants and occupants . Arrange storage in a manner to provide easy <br /> ' access for inspection . <br /> C . Material and equipment may be stored at the location specified in Section 01010 , <br /> ' paragraph 1 . 6 . <br /> D . Store materials and equipment which are to become the property of the OWNER <br /> to facilitate their inspection and insure preservation of the quality and fitness of the <br /> Work , including proper protection against damage by freezing and moisture . <br /> Place them in inside storage areas unless otherwise acceptable to OWNER . <br /> ' E . Do not use lawns , grass plots or other private property for storage purposes <br /> without written permission of the OWNER or other person in possession or control <br /> of such premises . <br /> F . CONTRACTOR shall be fully responsible for loss or damage to stored materials <br /> ' and equipment . <br /> G . Do not open manufacturers containers until time of installation unless <br /> recommended by the manufacturer or otherwise specified . <br /> ' H . Do not store products in the structures being constructed . <br /> 1 . 2 UNCOVERED STORAGE <br /> A . The following types of materials may be stored out-of-doors without cover: <br /> 1 .
