Ila) <br /> LEASE EXTENSION ' �♦ p~ '� � <br /> This Agreement for Lease Extension ("Extension" ) entered into on the 15 day of <br /> December , 2009 , by Indian River County , a political subdivision of the State of Florida , 1801 <br /> 27 `n Street, Vero Beach , FL 32960 ("County") , and the Economic Opportunities Council of Indian <br /> River County , Inc . ( "Tenant" ) whose address is : 1456 Old Dixie Highway , Building B , Vero <br /> Beach , FL 32960 <br /> WITNESSETH : <br /> WHEREAS , the County leases to Tennant a portion of the building and grounds known as <br /> the Old Douglass School site , located on the west side of 84'' Avenue at 85 `" Street, more <br /> particularly described on Exhibits A and B attached and incorporated by reference herein , and <br /> WHEREAS , the County and Tenant executed a lease on January 8 , 1986 , which was later <br /> amended on September 23 , 2003 . The County does not have any current need for use of <br /> the <br /> building , and <br /> WHEREAS , the County has no objection to extending its lease with Tenant for an additional <br /> period of time , and <br /> WHEREAS , the County has a Cooperative Facility Use Lease Agreement for other parts of <br /> the Old Douglass School site with the Dasie Hope Bridgewater Hope Center, Inc. and the West <br /> Wabasso Progressive Civic Club , Inc . That Lease Agreement is for a term of thirty ( 30 ) years <br /> expiring on September 30 , 2033 . <br /> NOW , THEREFORE , in consideration of the mutual terms and promises stated herein , and <br /> other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby <br /> acknowledged , the County and Tenant agree as follows : <br /> 1 . The foregoing recitals are incorporated as if fully restated herein . <br /> 2 . The term of that certain Lease dated January 8 , 1986 is hereby extended to expire on <br /> September 30 , 2033 . <br /> 3 . Except as supplemented herein , the terms and conditions of the Lease dated January 8 , <br /> 1986 and its Amendment dated September 23 , 2003 , shall remain in full force and effect . <br /> To the extent of any conflict between the terms of this Extension and the terms of the <br /> Lease and previous Amendment , the terms of this Extension shall control . <br /> THE REMAINDER OF THIS PAGE WAS INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK <br /> 1 <br />
