PERMANENT PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT Between INDIAN RIVER COUNTY And CLIFFORD J. SUTHARD, P.E. , PROJECT ENGINEER This agreement is effective as of February 17, 2007 by and between Indian River County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida ("County") and Clifford J. Suthard, P.E. (hereinafter "Project Engineer"), for permanent part-time employment by the County as Project Engineer and Review Engineer for various Public Works Projects commencing February 18 , 2007 and ending February 17, 2009. SECTION 1 . PROJECT ENGINEER' S DUTIES In consideration of Project Engineer' s employment by the County, Project Engineer shall devote attention to coordination and oversight of design and construction of various Public Works projects for the County and development review if needed. Project Engineer shall not engage in the compensated practice of engineering or project management except pursuant to this Agreement unless expressly authorized by the County Administrator or Public Works Director to do so. Project Engineer' s work on behalf of the County shall be under the direction of the Indian River County Public Works Director or his designee who shall determine the matters to be assigned to Project Engineer, the duties to be performed by Project Engineer, and standard of performance to be maintained. The Project Engineer shall be required to make periodic oral or written reports to the County Public Works Director or his designee or to the County Administrator, further the Project Engineer may be required to report to the Board of County Commissioners as frequently and in such form as the County Administrator or his designee directs. The Project Engineer shall work a minimum of 20 hours per week unless the Public Works Director approves less. The County will provide adequate space, personnel support and equipment that in the County Public Works Director' s opinion will provide the necessary resources for the Project Engineer to perform the required duties.
